New year, new plan, new videos

Howdy folks!

Hope you're all having a good new year so far. The new year brings new things for the channel and I'm excited to fill you all in.

First off, if you're not on the discord, you really should be. I post there way more often than here so you'll have a better idea of what projects I'm working on.

Beyond that bit of housekeeping I should address the lack of content last year. While I'd hoped I could balance silk work and video projects it just didn't work out that way. I worked on a variety of projects but had a bunch of them fail so none ever made it into videos. And silk work ate the rest of my time. But a lot of that work will be showing up in videos this year as we have built some truly magnificent machines and other things in that time I can't wait to share.

This year we're changing things. The focus is back on making videos and for those of you on tiktok and instagram you'll already have seen some of the wave of new stuff coming out. We'll be making dozens and dozens of tiktoks and shorts and reels, lots of full size videos, and a healthy pile of streams as well. And the stuff we have planned for this year I think will get you all excited.

Some of you may have seen the meatcubator on youtube and that'll be the first proper video out this year. This means that lots of insane mammalian projects are on the docket and I can't wait to get things growing. We'll be growing neurons, modifiying cells to do all kinds of weird stuff, and probably making some unspeakable horrors that will hopefully make the meat berry look tame. And depending on how the neurons grow, we may take another swing at the neuron arrays as things move along.

Beyond that we'll be showing off our crazy industrial bioreactor system we built and wet spinning machine. And using both to make some really cool stuff.

We've got lasers, high temperature stuff, ballistic stuff, some particle physics, radio stuff, and an anthropology project that may be the most fun we've ever had with a video all in the works.

And all of this is made possible by my amazing team which will bring the video quality to new heights.

All told, I'm excited to be back at it and to take you all on the ride with me. Sorry it's taken so long to get things going again, but thanks for sticking around, I promise the wait will have been worth it.

Cheers,
-Justin and team.

Any chance of a return to the sputtering content? I've been working on my own sputter gun, and it's fascinating to see what you can do with it. I'd love to see some more unusual metals attempted like chromium, though I haven't checked on the work function to see if it would take an eternity to get much of a coating. Maybe play around with the idea of using e-beam evaporation? Being able to evaporate literally anything is pretty cool, since there's not really an upper limit on how hot you can get things as long as you have enough power. Even tungsten is no problem. Of course the actual e-beam evaporator and support circuitry is no joke, but I can dream :)

It would be cool to also see failed projects in videos. Maybe on a second channel
