QUICK PORTRAIT SKETCHES: Same reference, 20 months difference
Added 2020-12-13 19:20:40 +0000 UTCI made the first sketch on April 2019 and second one yesterday. They’re based on the same reference photo from Pinterest.
I like both drawings. There are differences in proportions but I never try to to achieve perfect accuracy in quick sketches so it doesn’t matter. There are differences in style but sketches aren’t made on the same type of paper so the comparison is not so obvious.
The main difference is:
I remember struggling with the first sketch for about one hour (or more).
The second one took maybe 10-15 minutes.
It’s weird but I can even see how much more relaxed is face expression on the second sketch 😌 They perfectly show the difference in my mood while drawing...
