Hi guys!
Here’s one more sketch based on the references picked by you. This time from Liv Jo 🧡
It’s just an experiment and I’m not sure if I’ll continue this style but it was fun to practice and learn how these media mix with each other 😁🍭
Here’s the process:
1. REFERENCE + HB PENCIL SKETCH
I used Talens Art Creation sketchbook (finally started new one). I rarely draw animals so I picked pencil for a start. Then I rolled the sketch with moldable eraser to make it lighter before applying other media.

2. PRISMACOLORS + WATERCOLOR GRADIENT
I used two crayons (Spanish Orange and Lilac) to divide whole drawing into two parts - warm and cool. The same way as I can see it on the reference.
Then I applied Holbein Pastel Watercolors - straight from the tubes, and let them blend while they’re wet:

3. WATERCOLOR BACKGROUND
I made washi tape frame and a background from Leaf green watercolor mixed with other colors here and there to make it less regular.

4. MORE PENCIL CRAYONS
I finished the whole piece with pencil crayons and trying to keep the warm and cool areas. I decided to draw the spots as outlines to keep the painting light.

These are all the colors I used 🙌

And here’s the final piece:

I hope you enjoy my experiments and you can learn on them with me 😅
Have a lovely weekend! 🧡🐆🍭
