for some reason I thought Jared coerced the second rib out of John, but no. He said "I'll give a statement for a rib" and John said "Deal!" because he is so far gone down that Eye hole XD

i fw helen

Julia

nope. just listening for the first time XD

Rurrie

oh Jon, you've only been archivist for a couple years. How many body parts will you have left if you make it to Gertrude's age?

Rurrie

Anyone else re-listening to everything between Protocol seasons?

Nesdarnanner

All avatars freak me out, but Jared is a special kind of scary. So calm, so peaceful, he's so... ok with whatever. Humans like that are already scary but with this power... that gives me shudders.

Grace 'Gengar' Soria

The ‘fleshy’ sound work was amazing!

I’m leery of that as well for three reasons: one, it seems too easy and Jonny doesn’t generally write the easy option, two Jon has proven to be a complete twit when it comes to practical life knowledge and I’d say being able to survive The Buried falls into that category, and three none of the previous Buried escapees used physical anchors to get back out. As such, I’m still sticking with someone having to save Jon - either Georgie’s No Fear aspect or Martin the emotional anchor.

We will be releasing a transcript of this episode along with the public release later today.

The boneturner voice was very hard to understand, I would have to listen to it again. Episode was okay though. Thank you.

Dr. Zombie

more Helen and Melanie together, please and thank you

Elizabeth Brooke

I had the thought, at the beginning of the episode, "shit Jon can"t even get self harm right." But its not really a surprise as he already managed to be dead incorrectly. I now want to hear more about Jared's thoughts on bone quality and am in love with Melanie, but that part isnt new

Thegeekgene

And that wraps up everything I have to say about this episode

Sara Williams

That was absolutely amazing and I'm **so** thankful about hearing the two ladies and what they had to say in this episode.

sAZAndorable

A perfect balance between making me want to keep listening and making me want to throw up I love it

Kitty Hannan

Two things: 1) I don't think I've ever heard body horror done like this. It was some of the most disturbing stuff I've ever heard. Excellent! 2) Jon is providing a wonderful example of why academics (the profession I'm in) shouldn't be allowed to make decisions on their own: tons of book sense and absolutely no common sense or ability to see the flaws in their own argument. I'm really concerned where this might be going, but I know it isn't anywhere good.

Mark Sutton

Ok now that I’ve listened - that was the step back towards camaraderie that was missing, at least for me. It’s a broken, twisted, begrudging, painful camaraderie but it works. Also wasn’t sure how Alex was going to sound as Jared but the voice thing suited the character. Beautiful manipulation job - normally that kind of thing sounds mechanical and metallic but Jared just sounded like boulders gnashing against each other. Your hard work shows, Rusty Crew. *applauds*

Gilligan Mungus

This was so good!!! I still feel like Jon's a little too confident about a body part being a good anchor though...

Jess

This was MARVELOUS. I actually had to stop a few times because Jared was scaring the crap out of me. And Helen and Melanie's rapport is so deliciously good, I kind of want a spin-off of the two of them solving mysteries together.

Sarah Becan

Things I was and WASN'T expecting: ALL of this. Wowza.

Danii

I've been gasping and crying and grinning all through it, it was INCREDIBLE (and editing must have been hell indeed), I LOVE MELANIE AND I LOVE HELEN SO MUCH... (and jON!!! JON!!! sssh Jon!!!) (Melanie taking up Tim's mantle to get the rating up, I see! :D)

Cassidy

Chapter one of this biography would be, of course, "My Strange Addiction to Asking Things That Want Me Dead For Help."

Distant Egg Song

"That was...that was not what I expected." FFS, Sims.

gaminette

"And You Thought You Were Bad With People: The Jonathan Sims Story"

Distant Egg Song

Not that I’m impatient or anything (total lie - when it comes to MAG, I’m hella impatient) but I may have been refreshing the feed obsessively since 9 am Cali time. :-D
