ayy my country! mind you, I've never been to Svalbard, only scientists and real badasses go there.

I wonder if Gertrude took Manuela up on the offer. It would add a new meaning as to why she cut out the eyes on all the books and wanted to destroy the Institute. My previous assumption was that she was just tired of being watched all of the time and that she didn't want any entity to "win" including her own patron.

Daisy and John’s convo was very endearing this development makes me hopeful for the groups sanity

See the black sun rise from the solar lodge...

Fair enough. I recommend it, if you all get the chance. Clearly I need to do another re-listen. (Oh no. Whatever shall I do. ;) ) I already want to track down the other Daedalus episodes to listen to them all together.

Zach Hunt

I'm not nearly so aggressive/one-sided in my views, but I stan the darkness enough that I was struggling not to laugh at how much I related to the first half of Manuela's statement; whoops

Lauren Prince

No connection - Jonny hasn't listened to White Vault yet. Just a good spooky place, I guess - it's been seeded as a key location in both The Magnus Archives and Rusty Quill Gaming since Season 1 of both shows.

Rusty Quill

Is there a connection to the White Vault podcast brewing? Or is Svalbard just a good spooky place, and great minds think alike?

Zach Hunt

I'm thinking it might be both. Elias is a sarcastic being, but detective is an appropriate title for the role Basira seems to be serving for the Eye.

Mark Sutton

So does Elias keep calling Basira "detective" because that is what she is becoming due to her service under The Eye (as Jonathan became the Archivist)...or is Elias just being snide?

CMS HEX

I was wondering if it was Maxwell Raynor finally dying that threw the wrench into their plans and caused the delay. Maybe both?

And once again things of the past have begun to make sense, at least where Daedalus is concerned. I wonder if the reason that it took them peoples church so long to attempt this is because of their failed work with montauk?

NeWorlDark

There's a thing I've been struggling to articulate to myself about this whole series in general. I love horror movies, but I don't often watch them more than once. Once the surprises in them are known, it's hard to recapture the thrill, if that makes any sense. But every episode of TMA, I listen to at least three times. The stories are just as affecting as the first time through, and I always catch new information on subsequent listenings. Anyway, that's all, well done, as always. This is such a fantastic series and I always look forward to every new installment.

Sarah Becan

This was marvelous. I love every new angle we get about what happened on the Daedelus, and the statement was so chilling! This wasn't at all what I expected from the third astronaut - Manuela's deliciously terrifying!

Sarah Becan

Ahhh. So The Dark is this season’s big bad? Or is that too easy? Damn you Jonny. You’re as crafty as Elias - I don’t know if I can trust the story direction you’re spinning. Love it! :-D
