Bit of a quiet week around Rusty Towers, especially with the recent Easter bank holiday here in the UK. Plus a lot of the folks here have their heads down working on some of the new projects we alluded to in last week's missive.
But we thought we'd let you know about little bits and pieces going on this weekend & coming up soon.
If anyone is a fan of popular card game Magic: The Gathering, then both Bryn (Hamid, Brian Finlinson) and myself will be at MagicFest London this coming weekend - Friday & Saturday. Bryn will be taking part in the main event, while I'll be pottering around in side events or watching the Mythic Championship. If you're there and see us around, do come and say hi! We may even be able to jam a game of Commander, time permitting.
And this Sunday, Video Guy Mike will be at the London Marathon, working on a video shoot for mental health charity Mind - one of those third party projects we've managed to pick up on the back of our association with them.
Speaking of which... I am happy to confirm that our charity livestream, in support of Mind, will be going ahead this year in December. Rusty Quill: Gaming and Giving 2019 will be a live show with audience once again, and we will be announcing the date as soon as possible (by mid-June at the latest) to give everyone plenty of time to arrange travel if they wish to be there.
Looking ahead to May, there will be a RQ Fanmeet in London, on Saturday May 18th 2019. Myself and hopefully some of the other RQ Crew will be there, details to be confirmed shortly. If any of you can make it, will be awesome to see you.
Later that evening, if there are any Eurovision fans around - there will be a listen-along event on the official Discord server. Join me, other fans, and what will probably be at least one bottle of wine, for an evening of fun music and potentially snarky commentary!
