We've hit $2000, thank you all so much!

This is an incredible and genuinely heart warming thing to have happened!

When we set up this Patreon we were mainly hoping we'd be able to make enough to cover people's travel expenses... and we passed that stage a while ago.

Your incredible generosity is helping us to grow more than ever. We've got the pilot for a third core podcast in the works (more on that in a later post), and the new studio has made such an incredible difference to the quality of both Magnus and Gaming.

Last weekend we recorded a huge group scene for Magnus which would have been completely impossible if we'd had the old setup. So when you hear that on the feed (not telling you when, no spoilers!) you can think to yourself "I made that happen". Because you did.

So what about the milestone goal we just hit? Well we've already started work on the TRPG. I'll be providing some more in depth dev diaries in the coming months but we're looking to design something which can be adapted to cover any of the worlds we might create in our shows, as well as being accessible to people who might be playing TRPGs for the first time (without being boring to more experienced players).

As for the limited run series, we still need to work out exactly what we're going to make, but from talking to Alex I'm pretty sure he has some ideas. The way it'll work (at this point, this may change but I want to give you folks an idea of what we're planning) is we'll record and edit all of the episodes, then release them to $10+ patrons all at once. We'll then release them to $5+ patrons after a significant amount of time (we're talking weeks at least, although we have yet to nail that down). At the same time we'll put the series up for sale, in the manner of an audiobook.

It won't be hugely expensive, but we want to explore how much people are down with buying "albums" for short form stuff... not all ideas can run for 300+ episodes, so having a viable way to get shorter stuff (around 6-12 episodes) out to people is important to us.

So that's the update for now, I'm going to make an effort to be a bit more active on here regarding news, I realise people may feel a little left out if they pledged to the $2 tier right now.

That's a very good point.

Since, the 2 dollar tier is 40% of the 5 dollar tier, you could give it to them at a 40% discount.
