Delivering change

Happy Monday folks!

The UK weather continues to be confounding, but you can rest assured that come rain or shine or glom of night*, Rusty Quill will be here to deliver you a dose of something entertaining, And this week is no exception! (*apologies to Terry Pratchett)

Keen observers of our social media, might have seen a Tweet from Tim Meredith declaring that Season 2 of Stellar Firma has a shape, narratively at least, so we shall see what they have in store for our favourite disaster designers! Whilst a start date for the new series has not been finalised, we're provisionally expecting the show to return in December 2019. As before, we'll be inviting you to submit planetary design submissions - look for Round 2 to open soon!

Some good news on the TMA show transcripts front - so as to expedite the missing backlog, we have hired a professional transcriber to help us out, so expect movement once again there. We will be filling in the holes in Season 2 first and working forward from there, so expect to see Section 31, Tightrope and Blood Bag (MAG043-045) in the folder by the end of the week.

Good news for Rusty Quill: Gaming and Giving 2019 - we have finalised the venue! After some negotiation with our friends at Theatre Deli, we will be returning to The Old Library (39 Wells Way, London, SE5 0PX)! Tickets will be on sale very shortly, and we will be offering Rusty Knights and Nobles early-access, before they go on general release.

Additionally, in a change to previous years, this year's show will only be broadcast on Twitch - in an effort to streamline our tech, we have decided that we will forego having the 360° camera, nice though it was. But we thank the folks at Focal Point VR for all their support over the last couple of years.

In Community news, the amazingly rapid growth of the Official Rusty Quill Discord Server is a joy to behold - so much goodwill and good chatter happening, and at all hours of the day. To serve you all better, we have appointed some new Mods, and are in the process of making some infrastructure changes to make things clearer to both existing users and new joiners, including some clarification of the Community Code.

In ancillary news, some of you will know that I've been joining the lovely folks of Hobbygamers International for a few of their regular on-stream TRPG games, including the (world first) AP of the new Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart Kit. Well, starting this Sunday (25th August 2019) at 6.30pm BST, I will be taking the GM's reins over at HInt_Plays Tabletop  to run Druttercup, HInt_Fishy, NiteBytes and ShardAngel (all RQ Friends & supporters) through the world of Scion (using my own rules hack), where they'll be playing 'children of the gods' investigating the theft of an ancient artefact. If you can stop by and say hi in chat, you'll be most welcome!

Also, if anyone happens to be at GamesCom in Cologne this week, keep an eye out for our Head of Video, Mike LeBeau, as he's been invited to speak on a panel about gaming & mental health!

And, here's what you can expect from us this week (all shows release at 4pm UK time):

Tue 20th August
RQG - Not Far to Bermuda 2 (Patreon)

Wed 21st August
