I loved Buffy so much! I was 10 when it started airing and my entire friendgroup was just obsessed. One of my friends carried a wooden stake to school, as I am sure many kinds our age did. IHearing what it meant to everyone was fascinating.

Kath

Yes! I just rewatched it a few weeks ago too. Paul Reubens' last scene still cracks me up.

Have any of you seen the original movie? Buffy came out when I was college age. A bunch of us watched the movie in the afternoon the day it premiered on TV in the US.

Lark

I was in my 20s when Buffy came on, and man I dropped everything when it was on! I loved that show. Faith was EVERYTHING!

As someone the same age as Bryn, I completely agree with everything he said about being the same age as the characters and what an impact that had on me as a teen. I hated most other teen shows. Love listening to all of these!

It's funny the difference between generations and how the current one is more clued in to some types of behavior than mine was. I started rewatching the series with my child this year. Ve just turned 17, and within the first couple of episodes decided that Xander was a creep and is reluctant to watch more because of how much Xander creeps ver out. When I was watching it (and I was 26 when the series premiered), his behavior didn't ring any bells for me.

I absolutely had Helen’s experience with Dawn. I actually stopped it and went to check I hadn’t missed an episode. I thought I was going crazy, lol.

This was so great to listen to. Also a huge BTVS fan and it’s so cool to hear different opinions about the show. ❤️

Jess Nicolazzo

This was very entertaining even to someone with only the most basic of knowledge of the show, so congrats and thank you as always for the weekly capsule of sheer joy and nice things! :)
