A snapshot into the lives of the audio magicians behind the scenes of The Magnus Archives. (At this point, we're thinking that Brock might be an A.I.)

"I've been working for Rusty Quill for about 3 years now. My sample edit was created mid-flight/transit between the UK to NZ, which was not ideal, and yet somehow I managed to impress Alex enough to give me a chance.
My nemesis' while editing are THE CHAIR swiftly followed by THE DOORBELL. However, now that I work on the Magnus sound effects, I no longer suffer from these baneful noises. The photo shows my recent life; the computer is a 9-year old Dell that's still going strong and does most of the Magnus edits; the blanket was knitted by one of my best friends, the fox is how I've entertained my brain while stuck at home; and the Ruru (owl) is a friend from my homeland."

"I am incredibly grateful to work on a show with such a huge talent pool of people. It's very rare that you find a project where everyone is really passionate to give their all. Yes, the work is tough, but the end result is something I will be proud of for the rest of my life.
My biggest joy is being able to see first hand what the Magnus Archives means to the community - being able to listen in real-time when the community listens to an episode you've been a part of is incredibly special and rare to see. Outside of Rusty Quill, I work as a full-time composer/producer/editor for podcasts. As such, my setup is substance over style. It's imperative to have a computer that can handle being on 24/7, whilst editing shows that have a runtime of over 2 hours.

"I've been with Rusty Quill for about a year now, and I'm grateful and humbled to work with such incredibly fun and smart people. In my outside life, I'm the lead audio engineer for the entertainment department at [REDACTED], a major theme park in northern California. Since joining RQ and adding these incomes together, I recently purchased my first ever proper gaming rig, an HP Omen that I custom spec'd to also be a fairly beefy editing machine.
I have an ever-growing folder on my PC, solely consisting of files of Jonny having one-sided conversations with me whenever Alex leaves the room.
They're brilliant."
