Onwards and upwards

Best wishes from Rusty Towers this Monday! Hope that everyone is keeping well.

In case you haven’t seen, a lot of the excitement and general activity around here centres on last week’s big news – that Rusty Quill has signed with WME, the prestigious international representation agency and one of the world’s largest talent agents! This is the company that represents Idris Elba, Amy Poehler and Weird Al Yankovic, amongst a cavalcade of other actors, directors, writers, sports figures and musicians. You can read more about what this means for Rusty Quill and our future plans on our website.

As for what this means right now, well, in terms of our current shows and output – not a lot. We’re still committed to producing all of our regular content as intended, it's just we’re somewhat busier behind the scenes laying the groundwork for future opportunities and seeing what doors this deal opens for us & the wider podcasting industry. If you do have any questions about this, please feel free to message us and I will do my best to answer.

In RQGaming news, we’ve not gone as far as Xmas in July but I can tell you that we’ve recorded our Hallowe’en special for this year! And we’re heading back into space, this time with special guests Imogen Harris and Tim Meredith joining Helen, Lydia and Ben around the (virtual) gaming table for stellar shenanigans.

Also, a reminder that we are still seeking your suggestions of problems for Trexel to try and ‘solve’ in a special ‘Agony Aunt’ episode of Stellar Firma for the season break. If you have a suggestion, simply fill in this form and the Department of Personnel Wrangling will take care of it. Suggestions will remain open for another week, and close at 8am BST on Monday 3rd August 2020.

The first intra-season break for Season 5 of The Magnus Archives is currently underway - as a reminder, we will be returning with the start of Act II on Thursday 3rd September with MAG177. We are filling in the feed during that time with a mix of material that we hope keeps you going, including declassifying some older things from the Patreon feed, like the What the Ghost? episode, some chats with various  RQ crew, a panel recording from PodUK and some more outtakes.
