New directions

Hi folks,

Best wishes from Rusty Towers this Monday! Hope that everyone is staying safe and well. Not a huge amount to talk about this week, as we continue to work on the shows and company operations as usual.

I do have one exciting piece of news on the Patreon front, though.

As you might imagine we’re always thinking about new things we can do and offer you all, for the wonderful support you give to us here. But it’s not just about ‘content’, Patreon gives the crew the chance to test out new projects and ideas without all of the details that a public launch would entail. So…

It is my great pleasure to introduce, Enthusigasm with Helen Gould! Helen is the showrunner and host for this new audio show, available for Rusty Knights and Nobles. Each episode she will be talking to various members of the crew about their thoughts, experiences and feelings on a particular topic – from hobbies to books and TV shows. Provisionally planned for an initial 10 episode run, current subjects on the docket include Community, Jane Austen, Marvel and Baking. This show is just about to enter production, so expect to hear more in the near future!

I’ve talked previously about some of our merch plans for this year, following the long drought of new designs on the Redbubble store up to this point. Thanks for all the support for the designs we released in April, and I said then that we were looking at multiple drops for 2020. Well, I’m happy to announce that, all being well, Wave 2 will launch on Saturday 29th August, with public design reveals on a special RQ Streams show once again! Naturally, you all will get to see the designs here ahead of time. And I can also say that you might want to mark your calendars for 31st October as well…

Thanks to everyone who submitted a problem for Trexel to try and ‘solve’ in an upcoming season break episode! We’ve had over a hundred responses and it’s much appreciated, though whether Trexel has the same attitude, we shall find out soon. Production on the third and final season of Stellar Firma is underway, so stay tuned for details of the prompts we’ll need for that.
