Alexβs intro voice is more terrifying to me than any of the actual horror in the entire seriesβ¦but the fluff is excellent fun haha

I have never been so flustered in my life. The intro the statement I just... I need to go back to one of the episodes that actually scare me cause I don't know how to deal with how bad I am blushing rn.

This reminds me of the time my friend's daughter couldn't remember the sign for "penguin" so she signed "bird fish" instead. Martin is a joy.

Much appreciated. I sincerely hope most listeners will only get warm fluffy feelings from this, but I also wish there was more awareness in the world about how bullying can lead to lasting damage, including PTSD.

Could you please add a bullying or similar content warning? With this being framed as fluff, it triggered a lot of anxiety, especially since some of the things being made fun of are typical of neurodivergent people.
Bethany King
2020-09-11 18:00:45 +0000 UTC
Could you include a trigger warning for something along the lines of mocking a character behind their back? A lot of folks who are either neurodivergent or anxious, or have been bullied/mocked for behavior related to such, including myself, were upset or even triggered by this content, especially considering we were expecting it to be pure fluff. No rude intentions towards the author are meant, but a heads up would be appreciated. Thank you!

this is the first fluff entry with an intro that didn't make me want to run screaming into the hills, thank you Alex. also i developed at LEAST 5 cavities from the fluffiness so you'll be hearing from my dentist

Hearing Alex get a little more unhinged for each intro is truly the best part of my day when a new fluff is released. the Fluff entries are what inspired me to pledge as high as I could for Rusty Quill, and they have been one hundred percent worth it. (In addition to feeling good about supporting you guys!)

This is cute and I also love the implication that for some reason Jon's presence makes Martin forget the names of large exotic birds. Just watch, it'll be emu next!

Aww Martin, buddy, we've all been there, forgetting words. Don't worry.
And omg of course Jon gets a kick out of Martin trying to describe birds he's forgotten the names for with gestures. (Ngl, I would too.)
I love Tim telling Jon to take it easy on Martin, though. That was sweet.

so like 2020 abruptly got even worse for me (not an uncommon experience these days I'm sure) and I haven't had the emotional fortitude to listen to the new episodes for Act 2, but these little bits of fluff are...... really keeping me going tbh. like to the point of getting a little inappropriately emotional about it. so thanks.

ahahaha. "Insert attachment here" and Jon listing all the items he left made my day. Also "that's convenient" is basically a declaration of love from S1 Jon xD lolol.
