Prompts, Plumbobs and Poetry

Hi folks,

A very happy Monday mail day from all of us at Rusty Towers.

Firstly, Patrons have your say! You have 5 days to provide a prompt for our Rusty Quill writers to prepare special, non-canon statements for The Magnus Archives public feed! These statements will be read by voices you will know and love from the series and produced to our usual high standard.

Think of it like Rusty Fears in reverse: you provide the prompts, and our writers will then pick TWO winners from among them to use as inspiration to write a non-canon statement. We will then have them recorded, edited, and released on The Magnus Archives public feed. To Enter, simply write your prompts of up to 5 words (e.g. An Animal’s Viewpoint, Bikes, Racing, Cheating or The Hunt) in an email to mail@rustyquill.com or comment on the post below. One entry per person. Entries close Friday 2nd of July at 4pm BST!

On Thursday, we shared an update regarding transcripts, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you again for your patience with us as we work towards a sustainable and ethical solution to providing accessible transcripts that meet our standards. Over on RQ Streams, we’re wrapping up Sims 4 month this Wednesday (30th June). Nico and Mike have been navigating the single life for their sim-selves, showcasing their architecture and interior design skills, and figuring out whether reconciliation is an option. Now that Mike has introduced a new love interest, will Nico manage to achieve closure and make peace with his stream team collaborator? Find out at 5pm BST on Wednesday 30th June!

After that, it's business as usual on Saturday where Mike will be returning to Resident Evil: Village to pick up where he left off: scared, lost and a little bit concerned. Find out if he can survive what's lying in wait at 4pm BST on Saturday 3rd July.

In addition, this Saturday's stream will mark a big milestone in RQ Streams history: two hundred streams! To celebrate, Mike is hosting a special stream on Monday 5th July at 5pm BST where he will be returning to Skyrim and giving away something totally unique live on stream... It's one-of-a-kind and related to a certain fearsome feline friend of ours… Keep an eye out on our social media channels this week, and tune in Monday 5th of July to find out what he's planning and to learn how to win!

We continue to have some fantastic post-season content for both Stellar Firma and The Magnus Archives. On Wednesday we’ll treat you to an anthology of declassified poems by Martin K. Blackwood, then on Thursday, there are more amusing Meredith mistakes in another collection of Stellar Firma season 3 outtakes.

After RQG203 goes out this week, Rusty Quill Gaming will be going on a short campaign break. Don’t worry though – we’ll still have plenty of content to keep you entertained during this short hiatus, including a metacast on relationships and the fabled, long-rumoured BenQuest… The party will return with episode 204 on 3rd August.
