So what about that, whenever you've got a gap and need some Content(tm)? It would be really interesting now we've had multiple divine casters on the show, all with very different relationships to their faiths (and different mechanics).

2021-07-17 11:04:10 +0000 UTCJust wanted to say how much I admired and appreciated everyone being so open about how their own experiences related to playing the characters and relationships, especially when they’re things that aren’t always easy to talk about -- e.g. Ben and his "black dog days", Alex and dating inexperience, Lydia talking about being in the "grey spaces" regarding gender. Obviously there’s no obligation for them to share very personal aspects of themselves for the benefit of the fandom; I’m really glad they felt comfortable enough to do so.

2021-07-07 21:51:30 +0000 UTCThis Metacast was exactly something I was hoping for but also didn’t expect to happen, so I’m pleasantly surprised after hearing this. It was so nice also hear about people’s personal gender-identity and sexuality journeys through the TTRPG . Also, I bawled my eyes out at the prospective Grizzop/Vesseek Storyline that never happened and I’m so happy I finally got an answer for that so 😭 Also, it shed a lot of light on the Zolf/Oscar relationship that I hadn’t been very aware of but makes it almost sweeter now!

2021-07-07 17:31:32 +0000 UTCThis was everything I wanted it to be and more. It was so interesting to hear how they approach the different relationships within the group. I especially loved hearing Lyd and Ben finally discuss the Sasha/Zolf relationship, because I've always seen it in a very similar way - Zolf was grounded and reliable in a way that Sasha needed, and Zolf needed someone who trusted him enough to follow him. I've loved having Zolf back since they arrived in Japan, but I've always been so sad that Zolf and Sasha never got to be reunited. I'm happy to at least have had this deeper look into their relationship, though.

I’ve been thinking all week abt what it would be like now if Sasha was still around, so listening to Ben and Lydia talk abt Zolf and Sasha’s relationship definitely hit. Also, i rlly appreciate how honest and authentic Lydia and Helen are abt their queerness and how everyone has obviously put a lot of care and thought into the quality of representation they’re giving with their characters. As a queer listener it’s rlly meaningful and validating to hear. This was a great metacast and i can’t wait to hear what’s to come!!

It was interesting to hear Ben and Alex describe the Zolf/ Oscar relationship as a romance, because the last official word on the subject was "Actually not a romance, just deep platonic friendship." Which, while I absolutely respect the players' right to make those decisions, was a bit disappointing to me personally. So I'm glad it's been rethought and there's romance again! Anyway, thanks again to everyone for being so thoughtful and willing to share sometimes very personal experiences and emotions.

As someone who's currently in the process of examining and sorting through my gender and sexuality, and all the intense emotions that come with that, hearing them speak about their own experiences and feelings means so much. I loved the little sprinklings of lore too, and it was just so lovely the way you were supporting and uplifting each other as people too! And thank you for the care you took to make sure fans still feel confident in any headcanons, art and fics they have- whatever they are- while also going quite deeply into the way you think about your characters!
