Cookery, Commentary and Conglomerates

Hey folks!

Happy Monday from us here at Rusty Towers. We hope you’re staying safe and comfortable not matter the season.

We would like to remind everyone about both our pitch submission call and the ongoing Rusty Fears 5 contest. Remember, if you are a new writer with a finished audio drama script that you think would be perfect for Rusty Quill, please fill out this pitch template and submit it to mail@rustyquill.com by 11:59pm BST on 1st August 2021. We are looking specifically for 1-8 episodes worth of content, and are especially interested in uplifting new, marginalised, or otherwise underrepresented voices in media.

And, in case you missed it last week, Rusty Fears 5 has begun! Submit your own scary story based on one of our five themes for consideration by our panel of judges using this entry form after looking through the full rules which can be found on our website. Remember, finished stories must be submitted by Sunday 8th August. Winning stories will be recorded, produced and released professionally by the Rusty Quill team on The Magnus Archives podcast feed. It’s another big line up on RQ Streams this week! Today at 6pm BST our Community Assistant, Autumn, will be playing the final episode of the hysterical Tales from the Borderlands, while Wednesday sees Nico in his final week in horror jail with Amnesia III. Helen is back on Friday in their monthly cooking and baking slot to show us how to bake some tasty Brazilian recipes. Specifically, they will be making Brigadeiro (chocolate truffles) and Bolinho de Chuva (fried dough balls). Meanwhile, Mike will be taking chat back to Tub Club with Hitman III on Saturday.

The main Stellar Firma story might be over, but we still have loads of stellar Specials and comedy content for you to enjoy. We hope you’ll keep an eye on the Stellar Firma feed for all kinds of exciting episodes on the way, such as the actual play one-shot airing this week. Stellar Firma's interstellar scout ship, the Conglomerate Merger, is returning from a mysterious mission, but soon the crew is interrupted by an enemy force. Editor Maddy Searle takes Imogen Harris, Tim Meredith, Jenny Haufek, and Helen Gould through a game in the system Lasers and Feelings by John Harper.
