It's definitely "surface still on troubled depths," yeah. The surface is still, the depths are troubled.

I believe it's "surface" instead of suffer, maybe? I could definitely be wrong.

a rough transcript for anyone like me who had to listen like five times to get it. mistakes are my own, this is deeply unofficial, can't wait to see the actual formatting on this one anil! <3 you and your spider imagery.....
Scars, by Mister Blackwood.
If I could tell the tale,
No-one would believe me over them.
Because I don’t have the truth etched onto my skin.
It’s not mine to weave,
and I can not
should not
will not
be uncouth
as to put words into their wounds
by selling scars for salt.
Every time a tale is told, it sets a strand,
and by its unique movement
tells its source.
Its telling is most telling
by lines drawn in the sand.
Words,
like water,
run their course.
Some run wide,
Meander,
Changing, playful.
Others run slow,
surface still on troubled depths.
And some still cherish original channels
Even as they tap out
New notes from old.
(thanks for catching surface/suffer guys!)

Hey! Super appreciate the poems, could you look into posting the transcript with the poem in the future? It would greatly help those who are Deaf/deaf, those with audio processing issues, and those who aren't native English speakers. Thank you!
