Hi folks,

Wishing you the very best for the coming week from everyone at Rusty Towers! We want to thank everyone for the influx of kind words, sweet memories, and hilarious memes that were shared with us after the announcement of Rusty Quill Gaming’s finale date. It means the world to us that we’ve managed to create something that was so special to so many of you. Even as this six year journey comes to a close, our eyes are on the horizon — we can’t wait to keep sharing and creating stories with and for you!

Last week we shared a sneak peek at some of the guest line-up for Rusty Quill Gaming and Giving 2021. This week we’re proud to announce the charities that we will be supporting this year during our 24-hour marathon: Mermaids, which has been supporting transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse children, young people, and their families since 1995; CentrePoint, which aims to support young people experiencing homelessness and aims to end youth homelessness entirely by 2037; and ActionAid, which is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. Just like last year, we will be splitting every donation that comes in equally between these three great causes.

We would also like to take a moment to share some of the wonderful awards that our shows have been recently nominated for. Both Stellar Firma and The Magnus Archives have been shortlisted for Best Audio in the British Fantasy Awards. We are honoured to be listed alongside incredible shows like PseudoPod and Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman. The Magnus Archives was also recently nominated for several awards in the New Jersey Web Fest 2021, including Best Editing of Narrative Fiction and Best Supporting Performance for Alexander J. Newall. The winners of the New Jersey Web Fest will be announced on the weekend of 16th-19th September, while the British Fantasy Award winners will be announced at FantasyCon on the weekend of 24th-26th September.
