Give and take

Hi folks,

Happy start of the week from Rusty Towers! Things are revving back up around here as we get going on what 2021 has to offer. Naturally, a lot of our focus is going to be on the end of The Magnus Archives and celebrating 5 years of this show. But there’s also plenty of looking forward to new things on the horizon, and we’re really excited to talk more about them when we can!

In RQ Streams news, we’re fast approaching the one year anniversary of the project launch! It’s hard to believe that it’s nearly 12 months since Mike and I took to Twitch to bring you regular streamed content, covering a wide range of topics and games, as well as bringing in other members of the crew to showcase their interests and enthusiasm – from Lydia’s adventures in Rimworld to Helen’s cooking and Annie’s music making!

There are a few changes, though, that we are making ahead of the birthday streams to come – notably that I am stepping back from RQ Streams for a little while to work on some other projects. I won’t be disappearing completely, and will likely pop up at weekends occasionally, but I’m pleased to announce that we’re not leaving folks bereft of mid-week fun – as Nico will be taking over the Wednesday session in my stead, starting this week!

And, indeed, I’ll be around this Saturday with Mike, as we kick off some anniversary shenanigans by revisiting the very first game we played on stream – FTL – and look at where it all started ahead of the big day… Because, the following week, which is as close as we can get to the actual 1 year on the 25th, Mike and I will finally play the game that has been the most requested on RQ Streams. That’s right – on Saturday 23rd January, join us for Dream Daddy and another foray into the world of dating sims!

And, in further celebratory goodness, we also have a neat two-part Gaming / Streams crossover as Mike and I join Helen, Lydia and Ben for a glorious return to Rusty Quill Gaming, coming up soon! Exoplanetary mining has never been so chaotic…
