A picture of things to come

Hi folks,

Happy Monday from us at Rusty Towers! Things rumble on behind the scenes as we continue to work on our plans for the year ahead, and prepare for the upcoming show finales. We know that many of you have been asking about what’s coming next, and I am pleased to say that we’re putting the pieces together for an extensive set of programming, so watch this space! We are also turning our heads to the post-TMA finale celebrations, with more retrospectives and crew talking about the show, as well as…

…the winners of Rusty Fears 4 – Feartile Ground! As we mentioned last week, our extremely popular writing competition is back, and it’s bigger than ever. After three successful instalments, we’re looking for more of the brightest new talent of the horror genre to showcase, by having their original horror short stories turned into readings by us and broadcast on the TMA feed.

Once again we’re asking for stories on a theme, and writers can pick from one of four themes, each selected by a different member of the RQ Crew. Will your story be from An Animal’s Viewpoint, look at A Curious Collection, herald The Messenger or plant Seeds of Doubt for the reader? In other Production news, I’m pleased to say that recording for Inexplicables, our Patreon-exclusive six-part dark comedy series about a community of supernatural creatures, has begun! Next week we’ll be announcing cast information for this ensemble serial, and you can expect to hear some familiar voices, some exciting new folks for us to be working with, as well as a number of a cameos from around the RQ Crew!

And as we gear up for the conclusion of The Magnus Archives – just seven episodes to go folks! – it’s only fitting that we should offer some more gear for you to get your hands on. We’re not quite ready to reveal the designs, but I can say that we have commissioned some more artwork from Jessie Weirich, who did the incredible ‘Bone Apple Teeth’ and ‘Grifter’s Bone’ designs.

Oh, and did someone say ‘enamel pins’, perchance? Cos there might be a little collection on its way very soon as well... 😉
