A lovely end and new beginnings

Hi folks,

Happy Monday from all of us at Rusty Towers, we hope you’re keeping well.

Thank you to everyone who has listened, reacted and wished us well over the finale of The Magnus Archives – the events of last week are going to remain with us for a long while to come. From our side it was a very edifying conclusion to more than five years of writing and work to bring you this very special show. And to see the outpouring of community on social media and on the post-show celebration stream has warmed all our hearts. If you’re on Twitter, you can check out the #MagnusMemories hashtag to see what your fellow fans have been sharing.

As a reminder, the mailbag for Season 5 questions is open for you to submit your question here! Submissions are open until this Saturday 3rd April. Due to a high volume of questions expected, we’re asking that folks please limit themselves to one question only, and apologies in advance if we are unable to answer yours.

You may have also seen that we released a whole wave of new designs across our Teepublic and Redbubble storefronts! You can check them out over there to see new commissions from Jessie Weirich (Twitter/Instagram - @jehusethemoose), Grace Holsten (Instagram - @graceholsten_art) and Laura Alyce (Twitter - @villanargh / Instagram – safeinmyframe). We’ll be putting together a specific post of all the new designs later this week as well, so stay tuned for that.

These new designs are not time-limited, but speaking of that, there is just one week left to get your hands on the “I Was There at The End” design if you want – orders for that particular artwork to commemorate the series will finish on Sunday 4th April.

Don’t forget that while the story may be over, there is still activity to come – as we look back at The Magnus Archives with a whole heaping of post-series content. And that’s not just for the public feed.

We have a bunch of things in the works for Magnus-related Patreon bonuses including some new artworks, more poetry, from both Martin and Arun, the continuation of the Deluxe Transcripts, a Lovecraftesque RPG special with Sue Sims, Imogen Harris, Alasdair Stuart and Ben Meredith, more lore, and some other, more offbeat ideas that we’ve been playing around with.

And in other news, are you ready for a show premiere? This Friday sees the release of Episode 1 of Inexplicables! All is in place for us to head north, from London to Gravesby, and find out just what supernatural secrets Meredith and Harold Stonewell (Beth Eyre & Harry Farmer) discover after the passing of their mother…

This Patreon-exclusive dark comedy in six-parts is written by Tom Critch and Alexander J Newall, and will release at 6pm weekly from this Friday for all Citizen-tier and higher Patrons. Check out our previous post for details of the primary cast, and you can listen out in Episode 1 for cameos from Alexander J Newall, Alasdair Stuart, Imogen Harris, Maddy Searle and Mike LeBeau!

A big thanks also goes out to everyone who voted in last year’s Audio Verse Awards – the results are in, and I’m overwhelmingly pleased to say that we astonishingly swept the board with a win for everything/everyone that made the nominees shortlist.

There's SO MUCH going on this week, wow!

I’m excited for this week’s lineup and for all the future Magnus Archive content. Congratulations on all the very well deserved Audio Verse awards!

Cammieo

Congratulations on the Audio Verse wins! So well deserved. Very excited about The Inexplicables, as well as whatever RQ will be doing next. Now, time to catch up on RQG...

LainyJP

It's so strange seeing one of these without a Magnus title and like, forever, not just because of a between-seasons hiatus. But I get to be extra excited and worried at the same time over the RQG one. Excitement, excitement, excitement. Everything sounds delightful as usual. Very hyped for Inexplicables, especially with this many cameos! "Dark comedy written by Alexander J Newall" sits right next to a bunch of Magnus lines as one of the scariest things I've ever read. Can't wait! :D

Now that Magnus has ended I have dived headfirst into... basically everything else. I am 6 episodes in on both Stella Firma and RQG and am ready for inexplicables to listen at drop. This is my life now. Just Rusty Quill.

Thank you for constantly providing us with such quality entertainment week after week, can't wait to see what else the future has in store! 🖤
