Graphic novels were my gateway drug! The Dark Knight made me realize that comics beyond the occasional Donald Duck at the toystore existed. And then it was a rabbit hole of Sandman everything, and Constantine, and Mythadventures for comic relief (pardon the pun), and then it was 100 titles being held for me in my box at the comic book store.... I had to go cold turkey. Somewhere out there, someone has my collection, and I hope their kids are loving it too. :)
