Finale feelings

Hi folks,

It’s a big week here at Rusty Towers so let’s get straight to it!

After over 200 episodes, 6 years, 5 players and 1 highly respected GM, we’ve reached the very last episode in the main campaign of Rusty Quill Gaming. At the end of the last episode the party were left in a perilous position – what exactly does Alex have up his sleeve for this finale? Just a reminder that this episode will not be available for early access and will instead go out at the same time on Patreon as it does on public feeds, on Wednesday 1st December at 4pm GMT. We’ll be hosting a celebration on our social media pages, so do join us in sharing your farewells to the show using the hashtag #RQGaming. Speaking of farewells, thank you so much to everyone who commented on the last post. Collectively, you shared over 4000 words of love for the show. We are so grateful to our fans for the support you’ve given us over the years and are so glad that it’s bought you so much joy. Don’t worry – there will still be loads of RQG content coming out on the feed, including an epilogue and a Holiday Special.

We know we’ve been hinting at a very cool item we’re working on to celebrate RQG – while we still can’t announce anything further yet, rest assured we’re working hard to get it ready for you. In the meantime, we have a piece of commemorative RQG merch launching on Wednesday – here’s just a little teaser for you to enjoy! We are also working on a couple more pieces, including the much-requested Cel design.

Next up, RQGG is finally here! We’re trying to raise £20,000 to split between our three chosen charities: Mermaids, ActionAid and CentrePoint. Last year we totally smashed our target and we’d love to do the same this year as well. Gaming and Giving is always a highlight of our year, as we’re joined by friends and fans to play games, have fun and most importantly raise money for charity. If you haven’t seen it yet, we released a video trailer featuring our very own Mike LeBeau.

We’re also doing some incredible giveaways from the likes of Bungie, Czech Games, Grant Howitt and many more. We hope you’re able to join us for even part of the stream – we’ll be live from 5pm GMT on Saturday 4th December to 5pm GMT on Sunday 5th December on our Twitch channel. It’s going to be loads of fun and we can’t wait to see you there! We do actually have a few tickets left for our VIP room on Gather Town – you can grab them over on our EventBrite page.

In other news, with today being Cyber Monday, we have a very special treat for you all – even more new merch! A few weeks ago we showed you a small teaser of some new Magnus Archives merch and I’m delighted to say that we can finally release it today! This set completes the Tarot inspired set of fifteen Magnus Archives fears, and was designed by the incredibly talented Grace Holsten. And… surprise! There’s even more. We have two more pieces of Stellar Firma merch coming to our stores – a logo for David’s slurry-filled café, David’s Place, and a quote from everyone’s second favourite Stellar Firma Inc. A.I., A.L.E.X. -  can you guess which one? Both of these were designed by Mike Jefferies, who is also working on a couple more things for us… watch this space! Finally, we now have Enthusigasm merch for our enthusiastic fans! The designs will start going live on our Teepublic Store today at 4pm GMT and we’ll update our social media accounts when everything is fully live! The designs will also be added to Redbubble shortly.

Update 29/11/2021:

Enthusigasm continues to release on time with transcripts. As we near the end of season 1, we're really pleased that we've been able to smooth out the process so that future launches will be more efficient.

Our work is progressing on providing updated content warnings for The Magnus Archives transcripts, with RQG and Stellar Firma up next.

We are working on organising and filing everything we have ready for the planned release date. If there are any delays to this, we will keep you updated.
