Happy new year!

Hi folks,

It’s the very first newsletter of 2022! A very happy new year from everyone here at Rusty Towers.

You may have seen already that we’re kicking off 2022 with an event – a live listen-along to RQG for Patreons with members of the RQG cast. Find out more about the event, plus vote on which episode you’d like to listen to over on our post from earlier today.

Meanwhile, today we have the fourth instalment of Pets of Rusty Towers, coming out exclusively for Patrons at 5pm GMT. Last time, the curious Casper discovered his fuzzy friends at the top of the tower, preparing for battle. What is on the horizon for our pack of pet pals?

On Tuesday, we’ll be returning to the world of Rusty Quill Gaming with the second of the three epilogues. It is now ten years after the change, and the former LOLOMG meet to celebrate a friend’s big day.

Then on Thursday, now that we’re in the break before season 2 of Enthusigasm, we’re sharing a declassified compilation of a few of our favourite extras featured in the Enthusigasm extended cuts for Patreon. When we edit the episodes, we always save some of the very best moments for our Patrons – what was your favourite?

To cap off the week, on Saturday we have another puzzle for you to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks – we’re really glad you enjoyed it! This week, you can start your Saturday with a mystifying Magnus crossword.

In news from the RQ Network, our friends from Wayland Productions have some very exciting news. After pandemic related delays, Kc and his team have been working incredibly hard on several projects relating to We’re Alive, including We’re Alive: Descendants and We’re Alive: Scout’s Honor. You can hear more from Kc himself over on the We’re Alive YouTube channel and, if you haven’t yet listened to We’re Alive and are looking for a long, character-driven story to get into, we can’t recommend it enough.

Meanwhile a We’re Alive spin-off, We’re Alive: Frontier, has also recently started to share its second season over on the Geek & Sundry YouTube channel. We’re Alive: Frontier is a TTRPG set in the same universe as the original podcast following a band of survivors as they journey through the infected undead-ridden American Midwest.

Update 03/01/2022:

Enthusigasm released its first public season with transcripts you can find them linked in the descriptions of episodes in both word and PDF. Extended transcripts are released alongside the extended Patreon episodes of Enthusigasm.

Over 200 Transcripts are complete for Rusty Quill Gaming the remaining transcripts will be received back from the transcription shortly. Some small revisions will be required ahead of a public release soon.

Meanwhile, the reformatting of transcripts into our house style is underway. We hope to complete reformatting this month.

You can expect another update next Monday.
