Comments

You’re not alone, if that helps! Right here with you, feeling all of the things 2 years after everyone else

Emilia Perfetti

I know I’m nearly two years late to the party but damn, y’all. You haven’t made me cry like this since Sasha’s letter.

Kate McKiernan

How dare you make me feel things ♥️

Laure Gagnon-Tremblay

My heart was just torn from my chest in the nicest of ways. I'll miss this so much. Thank you for everything.

Claire Voss

What a lovely ending to a fantastic story 💖 Took me a while to muster up enough emotional capacity to listen to these epilogues, but man do all of them feel like a nice hug 💖💖 Thank you all so much for all the hard work through the years and big shoutout to the lovely fan community! 💖

CrazyChopstick

This was amazing. It took me almost a week to feel ready for this, but then I was surprised to be grinning and squealing and laughing almost the entire time, instead of crying. And yet, there was ALSO so much genuinely touching and deep wisdom, from everyone's growth and all the ways they've learned to take care of themselves and their friends. Thank you for such a warm sign-off, thank you for the adorable and hilarious shout-outs to the fan community (the archive...!), thank you all for this show and for all the work, care and love you've put into it for all these years. It's been a ray of light and I'm going to miss it very much. Time to relisten once more! <3 Those credits (and the final blooper) broke me, but: bye everyone (byyyyyyye) ;w;

sAZAndorable

I’ve been trying to put my thoughts into words, but not sure if I’ll ever have the words. Rusty Quill Gaming means so much to me, this story has made me laugh and cry and gasp and cheer. Beautiful conclusion, beautiful ending music. I knew next to nothing about TTRPG’s when I started, and this has opened the door for me. My head is at peace, my heart is full, and hope is in the air.

Lillian Collea

It was so lovely, thank you all so much for making our lives a little better with this podcast and letting us share in your joy! <3 The outro really did me in, what with it embodying all these emotions I had from when I was listening and that it started off so nostalgic and built up to the original... it was lovely.

Enystis

Also, much appreciation for Ben dropping in the mention that Zolf still has "bad days". As a member of Team Chronic Treatment-Resistant Depression, it means a lot to me that Zolf gets to have his happy ending and be doing so much better in so many ways AND still have bad days and not be “fixed”. (Because total recovery from depression would be lovely but is not on the cards for some of us.)

ontologicallyunjust

And now: a patreon-members-written follow up story XD ... Sorry, couldn't help myself XD

NoyneKehmaya

Omg, goodbye! I loved the final scene, just lovely. I will miss you all so much, characters and players. ❤️

Sophia Smithers

"I am verklempt" made my day!! Thank you XD

NoyneKehmaya

Okay, I sincerely love everyone choosing the final notes they want to strike in the show and being like: lift up other voices! redistribute wealth! it doesn’t all have to be big-picture decisions! write NSFW fanfic and share it with your friends! (To be clear, I support all of these.)

ontologicallyunjust

Thank you all so much for this, I don’t feel like I’ve ever finished a story with so much closure and HOPE ;_; I love a happy ending that doesn’t feel false… and thank you thank you thank you<3 To everyone who had a part in this, from Alex to the players to the editors, you’re all amazing storytellers and I can’t wait to start the next adventure.

Anthony

Thank you so much.

Mēs esam flinči, šī ir mūsu dziesma, mēs kādu laiku ceļosim laikā

Thank you for years of emotions and fun!! I’m so grateful for this series and am really going to miss this! Everyone who worked on and contributed to RQG, a toast of champagne to you. This was an incredible undertaking. Can’t wait to see what you get up to next, but in the meantime, a very fond farewell from me!

rowanoak

Thank you ❣️ I remain not ready to say goodbye. Guess it's time to go back to episode one and start prepping myself.

Julia Robins

Thank you for years of adventure rqg ♥️

CarpeFish

Thank you so much for this wonderful thing you’ve made. I’ve loved it and I’m grateful that it’s here to return to when I need it again.

Kristin Urbanski

My thoughts exactly.

Kristin Urbanski

Absolutely lovely journey to have taken. Thank you so much, all of you. This podcast has gotten me through the entirety of covid with my sanity intact. It has been unbelievably fun, heartwrenching, and inspiring to go through it as time has gone on. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. Going to miss it, but this was a fantastic way to wrap it up.

bramblepaws

The Universe bless you all for doing such a good thing. When do we get that book?

moth

rusty quill gaming was a podcast ;-; this episode might just hold the record for how many times my heart was broken and mended and broken again. this was such a beautiful, heartfelt ending, and i sincerely thank everyone involved in both this episode and the show at large. you've created something wonderful that i will treasure forever. i'll admit i was terrified to listen to this episode but it truly warmed my soul - especially wilde and zolf bickering like an old married couple. i'm respecting everyone's craft so hard right now ❤️

moth

I'm not even going to pretend that I'm not crying. I was doing really well, up until the end, when it really started feeling like goodbye. What a great resolution to an incredible series. I've listened to it 4 times in 2 years, because these characters have come to mean so much to me. Thank you to Alex and the cast, and the whole team behind the scenes, for your hard work over the last several years. Your dedication and commitment to your craft has given us a story and a world that will always be special to me.

Marie

BUT WE RESPECT THEIR CRAFT!!!!

spiderbeetlebee

this was awesome I was grinning all the way through what a wonderful way to end a wonderful series <3

spiderbeetlebee

This show was absolutely incredible and I’m so happy I got a chance to listen along with these amazing characters and story. I hate to see the show end but I’m excited to see what comes next. Rusty Quill Gaming will always have a special place in my heart

Sidney

Thank you all so much for Gaming. Thank you so so much. <3

HoloXam

Oh my, I am verklempt in the best possible way. Thank you so much for all the years of adventure!

Ashra

Thank you so much for making this podcast. I'm going to miss these little characters that have stolen my heart and the amazing world they live in. It's been the highlight of my Wednesday mornings. So thank you for all the laughs, tears, and blind panic.💜

Rogue Vigilante

My poor heart. I'm not ready...

Ashley Burden

I cried pretty much constantly, Alexander Jalexander Newalexander I deeply respect your craft

Citrus

Okay so the bloopers broke me, that’s cool ✌️✌️

Grif Stian

Yeah, I feel you there ... The only thing that made me really "😢" was the outro theme song ... the rest was just lovely - especially the Zoscar dynamic 🤣🥰😍☺😊

NoyneKehmaya

I almost made it. Bryn getting emotional at the start made me a little emotional too, but I recovered quickly. And there was so much to love about this episode (old married Zoscar! Grandma Azu! The genuine affection in Zolf's voice when he teases Hamid! A proper burial for Grizzop! The book! Harrison Campbell fanfiction!). I almost made it. And then the full theme song...! For some reason, THAT was what broke me. That was where I genuinely started crying. If I hadn't been at my desk, I probably would have done what I did after MAG200 and hugged my phone to my chest. It has been an honor, a joy, and a privilege to be able to go on this journey with you all. Thank you so much for a memorable adventure and all the love you've put into it. I genuinely look forward to seeing what comes next for all of you. 🖤🤍💜

Ollie of the Beholder

Thank you for making such a wonderful show. Congratulations to you all. 💖

Space Modulator

I was not prepared for all these feelings. Thank you all so much for the adventure.

Angel Dellamore

🥲

james evelyn

I am so sad that it's over. This whole show was wonderful. Thank you!

Sue

Just such an amazing ride. This was the podcast that got me listening to other TTRPG podcasts, that made me fall in love with the characters, the world and even the system. Thanks to RQG I started running my own Pathfinder campaign 20 years after I last ran a game. A huge thank you Alex for creating a living breathing world and for Bryn, Ben, Lydia, Helen and James for populating it with characters to care about (except Bertie of course). I may just have to give it all another listen

Pip Walker

Wooow, what an ending!! 😍😍😍 To be honest, I just wanna say "Thank you" to everyone again ... Thank you, Alex, for the most amazing story and the loveliest NPCs ever!! You gave them all a soul, a voice and their times to shine. I'm definitely one of the Wilde fangirls, but I loved your Einstein (as a "fellow German" I reeeally gotta say that you did an incredible job there 😉) and Ed (he is just so pure and sweet 🥰) as well. Thank you, Ben, for playing my favorite PC, Zolf ❤️, and for making him shine from time to time, but especially in that one episode where he annihilated this particular baaad beastie (ep. 208, if someone is searching for it 😉). You gave him a soul, things to live through and I really think that he and Wilde work really well together 🥰 Thank you, Bryn, for creating and living a loveable and strong little Halfling!! He was there from the start and all the way through 'till the end and he changed a LOT and I think he definitely did so for the better 😉 Thank you, Lydia, for being the reason I want to play a rogue in our own D&D sessions sooo badly 🤣 I liked Sasha so much and Cel is just amazing, too. Two completely different characters, but you did them both justice in every way 🥰 Thank you, Helen, for living Azu with all her hugs and her love and her awesomeness and her axe swings and all that good stuff 🤣 I'm really glad you joined the team! Not just as "James' replacement", but as a unique and strong addition to the cast 😉 And last but not least, thank you to aaall the people who worked on this insanely gigantic masterpiece. You all put so much work and time and effort and love and dedication into this podcast! I applaud you all 🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I leave some cookies here!! You really deserve them: 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪

NoyneKehmaya

That was such a satisfying ending, I really feel like all of the characters got the ending they deserved. Making a good story for that long and ending it well is *hard*, but damn, y'all sure did it. Congratulations.

Emily Bauer

Adorable ending but so sad that it's over! Everyone who worked on this podcast is bloody amazing <3

Max Hayes

Oh my god my heart has been shattered into a million pieces and also healed again. I'm just so overwhelmed and so grateful that we got to hear these characters grow and change and become a proper family again despite their losses and hardships. Or because of them I suppose. They went through so much to save the world and now they get to live in it too. These character arcs have been a blessing to behold and I just wanna say thank you to the cast for all their hard work! And thank you to the editors and those who work on the sound design, your craft has so much respect from me and has never not been absolutely stunning! Thank you all so much! 💕

Owleics

Thank you all so, so much

PratchettWitch

well, time to relisten to the entire series :) and definitely not cry :)

Dorian

How dare you all make me so happy and so sad at the same time. I respect everyone’s craft.
