New Project Coming!

This week we’ve had our calculators out and realised that since the company started, we have raised and donated well over £100,000 to charity! We’re really proud of this achievement. A huge thank you should go to our fans for this – we’ve said it before, but the money you’ve helped us raise has made a real difference across the world.

Now, last week we shared a little teaser for a brand-new project being worked on by Rusty Quill's talented Video Team. As you may know, we made the difficult decision last year to pause our Twitch streaming show, RQ Streams. This year, in lieu of gaming on Twitch, Mike LeBeau and Rhys Tirado have teamed up to launch a new show on YouTube - NPC: New Player Challenges, coming soon!

In each episode of NPC, guests will be set a challenge by the producers, like “Complete this level within 5 minutes”, “Find the rarest collectable in the game” or “Find the most creative way to murder a Sim”, but challenges are no fun without a Reward and that’s where you come in… you get to choose their reward! In the comments under each video, or on Patreon, you can suggest what you’d like to see our gamers win and we’ll randomly select a reward from the suggestions (provided they’re actually achievable and not shipping one of them off on an all-expenses-paid round the world trip!).

Would you like Mike to dye his hair red? Think Rhys should get a giant cake with their name on it? You can decide!

Episodes will be released on Patreon first before going live on YouTube, which means if you’re a Knights or Nobles Patreon you’ll not only get to see the videos before everyone else, you will also get the first chance to vote on rewards! We’ll be sharing more information on NPC in the coming weeks, so keep your eye out and start dreaming up some suggestions!

This week we have the second part of Into the Wilds for you to enjoy, plus a declassified episode from the Patreon exclusive pilot series of Enthusigasm, where Helen was joined by Anil, Elizabeth and Nico to talk about cakes, bakes, and a certain cosy baking show!

Meanwhile, on Friday, we have a very special treat for the Nobles – a chat about the music of Rusty Quill Gaming and The Magnus Archives with Samuel DF Jones, Katie Seaton and Alexander J Newall. This in-depth chat really digs into the influences for each theme tune (including a sneak peek into the gaming soundtracks that Alex used as inspiration for The Magnus Archives theme) and unpacking Sam's musical toolkit!

Update 24/01/2022:

We are now working solidly with a goal to release as soon as possible. A few things came up during QA stages (some missing MAG pages, a couple of Stellar Firma transcripts filed under the wrong name etc.) Despite this we are rather confident that we will release 76 Stellar Firma, 200 The Magnus Archives and 218 Rusty Quill Gaming transcripts in February.

We are working our way through RQG transcripts doing some checks and making some corrections.

We have almost finished transcription on the pilot Enthusigasm season.

We are nearing completion on The Magnus Archives and Stellar Firmatranscripts with completion looking likely this week or next.

Whilst we have been working out these few gremlins, we have found the time to update content warnings.

You can expect another update next Monday.
