Excitement and explorers

Firstly, at the end of last week we shared an update on the Rusty Quill Gaming dice project on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In case you missed it, we now have photographs of actual, physical samples of the dice! The final dice and box may look a little different from these; both Rusty Quill and the team at Dice Dungeon have given feedback and adjustments to the manufacturers – but even so, we’re blown away and so excited with how great these look. Something we really like that was suggested by the team at Dice Dungeon is the slot in the LOLOMG deluxe set’s box that is a perfect fit for the standard-sized tin that comes with the We’re Still Working on the Name set. Another cool suggestion from the Dice Dungeon team was the inclusion of small pieces of metallic foil within the resin of the LOLOMG deluxe set – you can see it in the sample photo below. This means each dice, once made, will be totally unique, adding variation and depth.

Sarah provides some extraordinarily interesting insights into the real lives and experiences of sailors and explorers in the 19th century.
