Hallowe'en squared!

Hi folks,

Some of you (those who are particularly adept at puzzle solving at least) may already by aware that the run up to All Hallows Eve is going to be a pretty big one here at Rusty Towers. But before we talk about the 30th October… we have quite a lot more news to share.

We can finally reveal officially that we are returning to the universe of The Magnus Archives in The Magnus Archives 2, true title pending! This will be a multi-season continuation of the Magnus-sphere but we can’t say more than that now.

Later today, we will be releasing an announcement from Alexander J Newall, which will feature the full announcement of The Magnus Archives 2, plus our plans to launch a Kickstarter to crowdfund it. This is the first time that we have sought to crowdfund a project. If it weren’t for our fans, and especially our Patrons, we wouldn’t be here today and funding this project in this way allows us to: 

• continue using Patreon to help us fund shows like Trice Forgotten and Cry Havoc!,
• listen to our supporters, and 
• provide perks that have never been available before.

We’ll be announcing more information on the Kickstarter, the rewards available for those who choose to donate and the stretch goals on our Kickstarter pre-launch livestream on 30th October. Join Alexander J Newall, Jonathan Sims and special guests for fun and games, behind-the-scenes information on The Magnus Archives 2, special announcements and more. To celebrate all of this, we’re also relaunching an old favourite: Rusty Fears. Our writing competition has produced some incredible, terrifying horror short stories, and we know that you have even more to share with us! As always, winning stories will be professionally performed, produced and released onto The Magnus Archives feed. This year however, we decided to go even bigger: stories will also be released on the feeds of other huge horror podcasts from the RQ Network. Not only that, but an overall winner will be selected to write their very own statement that will feature in The Magnus Archives 2. In some news from the RQ Network, we’re so excited that We’re Alive: Descendants will be returning tomorrow with two new episodes. Finally, even with all the excitement, Trice Forgotten will continue as normal. This week, we have another one of our deep dive episodes, exploring the topic of decolonising the museum, and how that is important within the narrative of Trice Forgotten. Join creator Nemo Martin and guest Dr Natalie Cooper, a senior researcher from the Natural History Museum in London, for a very insightful and interesting chat.
