Hi folks,

What an incredible first 24 hours of the campaign!

We are, as always, humbled and amazed by your collective generosity and passion for our work. Thanks to over 6,000 backers we have already raised over £400,000 and unlocked 43 stretch goals. With more stretch goals including a UK Live Show, UK Live Tour and even a USA Live Tour to be unlocked soon.

Where are we at?

With £400,000 we unlock The Magnus Archives Sontronics Podcast Pro Microphone, with a USB to XLR cable and a desktop stand giving you everything you need to get start recording professional podcast audio or for streaming. The Microphone is geared towards collectors as well and comes with an exclusive tape cassette Keychain/Charm and all the associated info and guides are The Magnus Archives and Rusty Quill themed. These mics are available as an add on to all pledges for £189.

Before we dig in to what else we have planned for the campaign and covering what we’ve unlocked so far we wanted to share this message from Co-creator of The Magnus Archives and The Magnus Protocol and Rusty Quills CEO and Creative Director Alexander J. Newall.

I am so excited that we not only get to make The Magnus Protocol the way we hoped but that it will be accompanied by so many fun and additional elements we could never have attempted without such amazing generosity. So what’s coming next?

Firstly, we were amazed by the appetite and enthusiasm for the highest level of rewards for this campaign, particularly the Named Character and Archive Sponsor (dedicated episode) rewards. We had no way of knowing for sure what length The Magnus Protocol would be and so had to limit these rewards accordingly. However, now that we have breezed past our goals and know we will be producing 90 episodes along with a spin off and other bonus materials we are pleased to announce we can now expand these two goals.

We are adding 30 more Named Character rewards allowing 30 more chances to name a character in The Magnus Protocol (no Michaels!). We are also increasing the maximum total number of Archive Sponsors to 84 by opening up to 54 more opportunities for dedicated episodes. The only six episodes of the 90 that cannot be sponsored are the Premiere and Finale of each season to keep things fair at this level.  

We are releasing half of these additional rewards right now!

We will be releasing the other half of these additional rewards at 4pm 23rd November 2022. (tomorrow).

Given how popular these tiers have been so far we’d suggest acting fast if you wish to upgrade your pledge because we won’t be able to expand either of these tiers any further meaning this will be your last chance!

Due to very high demand we are also raising the cap on Rusty Quill X The Dice Dungeon Rusty Quill Gaming dice sets to 2000. We cannot make this add-on “unlimited” but we definitely underestimated demand and have so have upped our allocations accordingly.

Pin badges have been highly requested by backers as an additional add-on. This was something we had been considering depending on the kick-starter's success. We are now working to prepare a “The Magnus Protocol” pin badge that any backer will be able to include as an add on item and will provide additional updates on this as soon as we can.

What do backers already get?

In our next update we will be providing a deeper dive in to everything that has already been unlocked during this campaign but just to provide a quick overview:

All backers pledging £5 and above (and some Early birds at £4) will receive:

• Everything at the £1 level
• a Digi-Pack which will include THREE ambiance albums covering music and atmospheres for each of the three seasons of The Magnus Protocol along with the narrative album.
• Ad free access to a deep-dive retrospective podcast examining The Magnus Archives with special guests, Cam Collins and Steve Shell from Old Gods of Appalachia and Harlan Guthrie from Malevolent.

All backers pledging for £10 and above (and some Early birds at £8) will also receive:

• Everything at lower levels
• Ad free early access to all 90 episodes of The Magnus Protocol plus the epilogue episodes
• Ad free access to bonus content including fluff episodes, What If? Episodes, a bonus in-universe spin-off podcast and 12 TTRPG episodes.

All backers pledging for rewards £20 and above (and some Early birds) will receive

• Everything at lower levels
• Ad free access to a members-only bonus listen along podcast of The Magnus Protocol. This has been upgraded to 15 episodes per season for a total of 45 episodes.

NOTE: the digi-pack is included in the Archive Assistant tier and was missed off listings for that tier in error. We are currently working with Kickstarter Support to fix this and we apologise for any confusion.
