The Final Countdown

Hi folks,

We hope you are doing well as we get ever closer to the end of the year. Here at Rusty Quill it’s still all hands on deck however as we have just two days left of our Kickstarter fundraiser for The Magnus Protocol. Thank you also to everyone who joined us for our livestream yesterday!

The campaign has already broken records, and we have already funded the full version of the show, and many extras and small but significant improvements, such as fully orchestrating the main theme.

We have already unlocked a one-off live show, however there is still time to reach the UK tour, and maybe even the US tour. This whole Kickstarter process has been incredible, and we’re so pleased that we can now confidently say that we will be making three seasons of The Magnus Protocol. For the creative industry, in time such as these, this affords us a stability that is invaluable. The Kickstarter money also means we will be able to put much of our non-Kickstarter income towards our other shows. All of the money from the Kickstarter (aside from what we will have to pay for fees, taxes and rewards), will go towards making The Magnus Protocol. We know that sometimes our updates might feel repetitive – but from all of us at Rusty Quill: thank you! We will never get tired of thanking you all for all your support!

In case you haven’t been following our recent updates, we announced a couple of weeks ago that we will be producing a one-off Kickstarter exclusive The Magnus Protocol enamel pin badge in collaboration with Greer Stothers. You may recognise Greer as the artist behind the fifteen fears pin set that were available a couple of years ago. Greer is designing the pin based on the work of Alex and Jonny, who have provided some information on iconography from the show.

Meanwhile outside of Kickstarter, things will be a little quieter on our feeds over the holiday period. Over the next few weeks we will have the final few episodes of Compulsory Film Appreciation, ending in a very festive special episode. This week, Hartro and IMOGEN are appreciating Labyrinth!
