And what I say to 'the young people' is, You don't have to like Star Wars, but if you're a geek, you have to appreciate how it changed film forever. If you don't know what I mean, just watch Star Trek the Motion Picture (1979) or Battlestar Galactica (1978) or even earlier SF films, and then watch Star Wars (1977). That's what we were working with. Star Wars is just on a whole new level. Lucas changed special effects completely. Loved hearing your takes, Lowri!
