Enthusigasm is back!

Hi folks,

Wishing you the very best for the coming week from everyone at Rusty Towers!

In case you haven’t seen our latest Kickstarter update, we’ve been working hard behind-the-scenes to get all of the admin together for the next stage of the campaign. We are now almost ready to launch our BackerKit surveys and open our Pledge Manager. This will allow backers to upgrade their pledges, purchase additional add-ons, confirm their name and shipping address and upgrade or add bonuses if you’re a Patreon subscriber.

This is slightly later than we had originally intended due to the end of the year holidays delaying the payment from Kickstarter and also all Rusty Quill staff being on annual leave. Also, the unprecedented amount of money we raised temporarily broke our banking, as we triggered a number of checks and balances related to the receipt of such a mammoth sum all at once from a new source. We are now back on track, and are looking forward to launching the BackerKit surveys very soon.

You can read the full update on our Kickstarter page, even if you didn’t back the campaign.

Meanwhile, with all the exciting things in the works for The Magnus Protocol, we’re still hard at work finalising Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later. For our newer Patreon subscribers, Cry Havoc is a scripted comedy set in Ancient Rome created by David K. Barnes. Inspired by real historical events, Cry Havoc is a Roman comedy of errors about power, politics, romance and a deadly disaster. At the end of last week, we shared some puzzles to introduce you to some of the characters and places that will be featured. If you need something relaxing to do this week, I’d highly recommend you give them a go!

If you’re looking for something new to listen to while you wait for Cry Havoc, all this month on our social media channels we’re celebrating our RQ Network shows. Working through alphabetically every day in February we’ll be talking about a new show and sharing links to where you can listen to the first episode. So far we’ve shared Afflicted, a hoodoo inspired eldritch horror, Ain’t Slayed Nobody, a Call of Cthulhu actual-play set in the Wild West, The Cellar Letters, a horror podcast exploring mysterious letters locked in a basement, Circe, a science-fiction fantasy podcast about a magic-less sorceress seeking to return to the woman she loves, and Cryptids, a supernatural mystery that asks the question: what happens after we die? Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook for the rest!

Finally, we’re delighted to say that Enthusigasm is returning to Patreon this Friday for Rusty Knights+. If you haven’t listened to Enthusigasm before, it is our cosy chat-show that debuted on Patreon in 2020 where Rusty Quill cast, crew and friends discuss some of their favourite topics: whether it’s a piece of media, a hobby or even their pets. This week, host Helen Gould is discussing The Umbrella Academy, joined Karim Kronfli, Michelle Snow and Tai Lawson.

Have a good week all!

With your generous interpretation of their phrasing, I could expect to hear news in 2024. That's still a new year, yeah?

Last I checked, we're barely a month into the new year. Better update my calendar to reflect that 2023 has ended already!

Enthusiasm this Friday!!! Woohoo!! Something to look forward to to get me through all the meetings this week x

Mother of Ferrets

Disappointed but not surprised at this point that you broke your promise to give us news about the future of Chapter & Multiverse in the new year. I wish the crew of Cry Havoc! the best.
