FEBRUARY IS RQ ABC!

Many of you are eager to find out the winning entries in our most recent Rusty Fears writing competition Rusty Fear 6: Remnants of Fear. The team has nearly finished the shortlisting process for each category from which a winner will be picked for each category. The quality of entries this time around has been off the charts and this has also been by far the competition with the most entries! Your support has been fantastic as always. This does mean it has taken a little longer to go through the entries than usual. In fact, the response has been so vast that we’ve already discussed a few ideas for Rusty Fears 7, the next iteration of this competition and reward promised within our recent Kickstarter.

Speaking of rewards unlocked on Kickstarter, one of our Social Stretch Goals was for a Magnus Live Fanfic Showcase. During this event Alex and Jonny will read a selection of works of Fan Fiction. Authors of the Fanfic must nominate themselves, and we will provide a Google Form link soon where this can be done easily. We also unlocked a Fan Art Showcase, but more on that another time.

February has been dedicated to an ABC of the excellent Audio Drama on RQ Network. Every day we’ve celebrated one show across our social media as we alphabetically go through the many exciting shows on the RQ Network. Today is dedicated to Malevolent, an audio drama that follows an Arkham PI with eyes possessed by an eldritch entity in an interactive horror/ mystery podcast.  

Since the last newsletter we’ve shared…  
- The Deca Tapes a found-footage mystery audio drama podcast with psychological thriller and sci-fi elements. The tapes document ten people trapped in a space together.
- The Diary of Aliza Schultz a mind-bending audio fiction following Aliza Schultz the perfect reader of Rafael Muslani, famed author of shallow airport paperback novels.  
- Dice Shame is a fantasy and comedy actual play podcast expect all the shocks, the twists, the turns and the moments where you just had to be there of your best game of D&D.  
- How it Ends a character driven suspense audio drama with themes of grief, dreams, memory and mystery.  
- The Hyacinth Disaster a sci-fi podcast chronicling the worst and most cataclysmic disaster of 2151 AD.  
- I Am In Eskew a new weird horror podcast set in Eskew a city of impossible living architecture where it always rains.  
- Maeltopia a New World of Horror Fiction a range of original horror and dark fiction in the world of Maeltopia.

We are edging closer to launching BackerKit to help us organise and distribute the many rewards for backing our Kickstarter for The Magnus Protocol. BackerKit will allow people to confirm their address, how they want to be thanked on the support wall, upgrade their pledge level, get more add-ons, confirm or change t-shirt sizes and more. It doesn’t stop there! We have yet more Enthusigasm coming to Patreon this Friday for Rusty Knights. This week, host Helen Gould is discussing Tarot and Astrology with Jenny Haufek, Mez Galaria and Rafaella Marcus.  

And finally, we have a Trice Forgotten wrap party which Nobles are cordially invited to. Join some of the cast and crew in our Trice Gather space on Friday 17th February between 5pm-7pm GMT for some casual games and the chance to chat about your favourite seafaring podcast! Further information and links will be headed to Nobles later this week.
