We hope you have all had a wonderful week.
Firstly, Rusty Quill is now on Threads! You can find us by searching for “rustyquilluk”, clicking this link straight to our page, or via our Instagram page. It’s been a while since we last dived into a social media platform, and we were delighted to reach over 1000 subscribers in the first weekend. We’ll still be using Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, just with the addition of Threads. The comms team are particularly excited by its integration with Instagram, allowing us to bring news and updates to Instagram in a new way.
This week in Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later the stage is set and all the players are ready. Gaius has invited Cleopatra out for a night of culture and Octavia is getting ready for the opening night of her play. As always, Knights and Nobles will be able to listen 48 hours ahead of the public release, on Tuesday.
Then on Friday, our Backstage Episode is discussing the real Roman theatre. Joining Lowri this week is creator David K Barnes, writer Rafaella Marcus, and historical consultant Dr Emma Southon, as they chat about the inspiration of the episode, what life was like for Roman performers and what we know about Roman plays.
