Soundtracks and seasons

Hi folks,

Thank you so much for sharing your excitement, theories, art and more after last week’s launch of season 2 of The Magnus Protocol! We had such a great time during the Drop here on Patreon – we have more of these live listens planned for the rest of the season, so keep an eye on these newsletters for announcements.

If you haven’t yet listened, Knights and Nobles can listen to episode 31 here on Patreon, or for Citizens it is available wherever you find podcasts and on our website!

We celebrated the public launch on Thursday by sharing a collection of new The Magnus Protocol merchandise designs!

(Image description: A collection of mock-ups of merchandise from Redbubble. The top row, left to right: A stained-glass style design featuring a red bird in a cage; two people in in black t-shirts featuring a design of an eclipse. The middle row, left to right: A notebook featuring a red and green design and The Magnus Protocol logo; a canvas bag with a large red and gold badge reading “OIAR It Manager”; two people wearing grey sweaters featuring a Mr Bonzo design. The bottom row: Two people wearing grey t-shirts with a cartoonish design of Mr Bonzo and the text “Get F*cked”; A sticker design of an hour-glass with the words “Time isn’t real” in the sand.)

You can find all of these designs on a variety of different items including t-shirts, stickers, bags, posters and more on our official merchandise stores:

You can also now find the second volume of Sam Jones’ amazing soundtrack for The Magnus Protocol on Spotify! Sam has composed music for Rusty Quill shows since the launch of Rusty Quill Gaming, and it has been incredible to see him create these amazing horror suites for Protocol. Thanks to the success of the Kickstarter, we’ve been able to record with an orchestra and, for this season, a choir, a small chamber ensemble and boy soprano, creating a truly incredible, haunting soundtrack that’s well worth a listen on its own. Find The Magnus Protocol Soundtrack Volume II, as well as the rest of his amazing work, on Sam Jones’ Spotify.

We also hosted a celebratory livestream on Friday! Alex and Jonny got cosy and read some horror stories. Across the stream they read Count Magnus by M.R. James (which you may guess was a particular inspiration to Jonny when creating The Magnus Archives), The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe, and The Signal-man by Charles Dickens. If you missed it, you can watch the recording on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2393529067

Finally, in this week’s episode of The Magnus Protocol, Alice is in for a surprise. The episode will be available for early access supporters on Tuesday 4th March at 4pm GMT, or on the public feed on Thursday at 4pm GMT.

Have a good week all!

Amazing designs! Any idea if the soundtrack will ever be available to buy (maybe via bandcamp?) instead of just streaming?

apples_only

i still love that mr bonzo is the only magpod/magpro character with a canonical design

If a very particular someone speaks through that computer to Alice I will be very unwell I fear.

Not!Jon

Has there been any thought about having the soundtracks for sale on Bandcamp? Personally I'd much prefer to buy it there vs streaming from Spotify.

Corrin

is there a chance we’ll get that Protocol soundtrack logo by itself? I’ve been obsessed with it for days

Oswaldepic

It better be a good surprise, nobody is allowed to hurt our Alice. 😑

„alice is in for a surprise“ doesn’t sound good and I’m really scared now

Bonzo help us. A surprise.
