Here at Rusty Towers, we’re preparing for a busy, exciting summer. We are now over halfway through the first season of The Magnus Protocol, and at the midpoint of our current Neon Inkwell short series, The Pit Below Paradise. Last week, our Rusty Nobles were given early access to tickets to our second Rusty Towers Presents event in Manchester – a game of real-life Guess Who with friend of the towers, James Ross (aka beloved/beloathed Bertie from Rusty Quill Gaming) – and we’ve also been working on some new merchandise for The Magnus Protocol – watch this space for updates on this!

It is hard to believe that we’ve already shared half of the episodes in season one of The Magnus Protocol. As a reminder, we’ll once again be having a short break on the feed as we reach the end of act two with episode 20.

We are very glad to see how much you all enjoyed meeting Lady Mowbray last week and have loved seeing fanart for her, and the rest of our Protocol characters, already. If you use TikTok, you will enjoy this wonderful video from Billie Hindle and Ryan Hopevere-Anderson, recreating one of their scenes as Alice and Colin from The Magnus Protocol.

Meanwhile, in The Pit Below Paradise this week, Dori, Will and Ruth take a trip to Paradise Village. Even as they grow closer, all three have a lot to learn about Dori’s life back home.

Finally, we have an update on The Magnus Archives Sontronics Podcast Pro microphones, which is one of the add-ons associated with The Magnus Protocol Kickstarter. This update was written by both the Sontronics and Rusty Quill teams, and will be shared both here on Patreon and to our Kickstarter backers.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience while we worked with the team at Sontronics to prepare you for a complete update on the fulfilment of The Magnus Archives Podcast Pro microphones. Please allow us to apologise that is has taken much longer than anticipated to get these limited-edition microphones shipped. The manufacturing company, Sontronics, has undergone a complete refresh in management and ownership and we have been in regular contact with both the former owners and new management team to ensure the transition is as straightforward as possible. Unfortunately, this has had an impact on the fulfilment timeline of the microphones in a way that no one could foresee. There has also been a delay due to a previous shipping and fulfilment partner, instructed under the previous management that ceased trading before being able to commence or invoice for shipping.

Rusty Quill provided final product feedback at the end of 2023 and provided all shipping information to the Sontronics team at the start of 2024. Rusty Quill is providing one final list of updated addresses now, so please update us immediately if your address has, or is expected to change prior to shipping by emailing mail@rustyquill.com.

The Magnus Archives limited edition Podcast Pro microphones are looking fantastic, and we are very proud of the work from both Sontronics and Rusty Quill on putting this together with the accompanying booklet, which includes exclusive interviews, letters, behind-the-scenes information and never-before-seen insights into what went into recording the very first The Magnus Archives episodes. Also included is a matching bespoke moulded cassette keyring which ships with every order and can be worn on your keys or to decorate your microphone.

We have been assured that shipping will commence this month for all existing orders, which include the microphone, booklet, keychains housed in the bespoke outer packaging.
