Questions and Control

Hi folks,

Wishing you the very best for the coming week from everyone at Rusty Towers!

This week, we reach the end of the second act of The Magnus Protocol – which is pretty incredible. Thank you so much to everyone who has been listening – and of course, now is a great place to catch-up and binge listen to the whole of the series so far ahead of the third, and final act of season one.

In this week’s episode, Gwen has an appointment. After episode 20, we’ll once again be taking a short, planned break from releasing episodes. Episode 21 will be released on 11th July on the public feed, and on the 9th July for early access supporters on Patreon and Kickstarter.

To tide you over until then, we are pleased to say that we will shortly be hosting another livestream! Join us on Thursday 20th June at 5pm BST on twitch.tv/rusty_quill, as Jonathan Sims and Alexander J Newall play DLC for the game Control. This stream was unlocked as a Kickstarter stretch goal, as you may remember that Control served as an early inspiration for the aesthetic of The Magnus Protocol! If you haven’t played Control yourself, you’ll soon see what we mean.

Next up, we are delighted by the response to our collaboration with artist Kit Buss! In case you missed it, last week we launched two new designs by her – one for The Magnus Protocol and one for The Magnus Archives. These are now both available on our Redbubble, Teepublic and Crowdmade merch stores on a variety of items!

(Image description: Two Redbubble mock-ups of people wearing tshirts. On the left is a person wearing a grey shirt with a grey and black design in the shape of an eye. Within the eye is a carosel. Around the eye are the words “ceaseless watcher turn your gaze upon this wretched thing”. On the right are two people wearing black tshirts. The design on the tshirts features red computer monitors, mouse and keyboard, connected by alchemic symbols.

We also wanted to remind you that there are just a few more weeks to get the The Magnus Archives dice, created by Dice Dungeon, at the early bird discount! Head to Dice Dungeon’s website to order by 30th June at 23:59 BST to ensure you get £12 off your dice order, including the d16 "entities" die featuring icons for the fifteen fears.

Finally, we are so glad to hear that so many of you enjoyed The Pit Below Paradise. This story has now finished, and you can listen to the whole thing here on Patreon or on the Neon Inkwell podcast feed. It has been a pleasure to share this story, created by J Evelyn Gaskell and directed by Micah Rodriguez and Stephanie Resendes. If you have any burning questions about how the show was made, what writing or directing a podcast is like, and any specific about The Pit Below Paradise, please fill in this anonymous form to submit your question to the creators. The form is open until 23rd June – after which point we’ll pass along your questions to be answered in blog here on Patreon and on our website.

Here is our full schedule for this week:

Tuesday 11th June

The Magnus Protocol 20 – Social Stigma (Patreon & Kickstarter Backers) (4pm BST)

Thursday 13th June

The Magnus Protocol 20 – Social Stigma (Public) (4pm BST)

Have a good week all!

Comments

Hi there, the digipacks have not yet been released. We will update on the Kickstarter updates page when they are!

Rusty Quill

Hi! I feel so bad for asking again, I just wanted to make sure cause I'm worried I missed it somewhere and it's been a bit. Is there any updates on the digi-packs? I don't know if I just misunderstood the post before and they are gonna be released later, I just wanted to be sure.
