Comic Con and Cast Q&As

Hi folks,

We hope that you all have had a great week. Here at Rusty Towers, we are preparing for a busy few months of events and appearances! We can’t wait to see those of you who purchased tickets for our in-person celebration for season 2 of The Magnus Protocol in Manchester in October. However, if you weren’t able to get tickets for this, we’re pleased to say that we announced two further appearances at the end of last week!

Firstly, the cast of The Magnus Protocol will be at MCM Comic Con in London on Saturday 26th October 2024! Join Alexander J Newall (co-creator and director), Lowri Ann Davies (voice of Celia), Anusia Battersby (voice of Gwen), Billie Hindle (voice of Alice), and Shahan Hamza (voice of Sam) for a panel on the Live Stage. They’ll be examining their characters’ overarching themes during season one, the role fear has played in their decision-making so far, and how it might change them as we approach season two. This panel will be followed by a meet & greet in the Meet & Greet Zone. You can purchase tickets on the MCM Comic Con website!

Next up, at 7pm BST on Sunday 8th September 2024, Shahan, Anusia and Ryan Hopevere-Anderson (who plays Colin) will be hosting a Q&A and signing at the London Podcast Festival! Here, they’ll be sharing insights into their experiences and character journeys so far in the first season of The Magnus Protocol and answering questions live! You can purchase tickets for the Q&A and signing on the King’s Place website.

We had such a great time last year attending events and meeting some of you and are so excited to be able to attend even more this year, especially as we wrap the first season of The Magnus Protocol and begin to work on the second. Meanwhile, in The Magnus Protocol this week, Alice is concerned. This week’s episode is written by Muna Hussen, who you may be familiar with from her work on The Silt Verses and I Am in Eskew. The Silt Verses recently wrapped its third and final season. This folk horror audio drama follows two worshippers of an outlawed god, travelling up the length of their deity’s great black river, searching for holy revelations amongst the reeds and the wetlands. I Am in Eskew follows a man trapped in a moving, living city, unable to find his way home. He documents his bizarre experiences, hoping someone – anyone – will one day hear them.
