It has been a busy few months here at Rusty Towers, so we wanted to take some time to give you all an update on everything we’ve been up to!

The Magnus Protocol Finale and Community Events!

Firstly, we are so excited to be reaching the finale few episodes in season one of The Magnus Protocol! The penultimate episode airs this week, and the finale following on 10th September in early access and 12th September on the public feed. Thank you so much to everyone who has listened to the series this year – it has been incredible creating this show and sharing it with you all. To celebrate reaching this pivotal moment, we will be hosting a few community events in the next few weeks!

On 10th September 2024 at 6pm BST, we will be hosting a Patreon “Drop”, a live listen event for our paid members (Knights and Nobles tiers) to listen to episode 30 and chat about it with the rest of the community and members of The Magnus Protocol cast! We had so much fun chatting with members of the community during our last Patreon Drop and can’t wait to host another one – especially for such an important episode! If you’d like to join in, all you need to do is upgrade to paid membership (Knights or Nobles tiers) anytime before 10th September!

We’ll also be hosting a second Drop with the release of the Epilogue episode. Epilogues were unlocked during the Kickstarter campaign, providing a coda to the season ahead of season 2. As with all of our Drops, this live listen will take place 2 hours after the initial early access release and will be available for our Knights and Nobles paid supporters. The epilogue will be released on 24th September in early access and 26th September on the public feed.

We know that not everyone is in a position to join our paid Patreon, and with that in mind we will be hosting a celebratory livestream on 19th September on our twitch channel. Join members of the cast to chat about the whole of first season of The Magnus Protocol, and to play some Jackbox Games! Between season one and season two, there will be some between-season episodes released for everyone to enjoy, including the epilogue, the long-awaited return of Magnus Fluff episodes, a “What If?” style episode, a Q&A episode, and the release of our winning stories from Rusty Fears 6. In-person appearances

Firstly, at 7pm BST on Sunday 8th September 2024, Shahan Hamza (voice of Sam), Anusia Battersby (voice of Gwen) and Ryan Hopevere-Anderson (voice of Colin) will be hosting a panel, Q&A and signing at the London Podcast Festival! Here, they’ll be sharing insights into their experiences and character journeys so far in the first season of The Magnus Protocol and answering questions live! You can purchase tickets for the Q&A and signing on the King’s Place website.

Next up, the cast of The Magnus Protocol will be at MCM Comic Con in London on Saturday 26th October 2024! Join Alexander J Newall (co-creator and director), Lowri Ann Davies (voice of Celia), Anusia Battersby, Billie Hindle (voice of Alice), and Shahan Hamza for a panel on the Live Stage. They’ll be examining their characters’ overarching themes during season one, the role fear has played in their decision-making so far, and how it might change them as we approach season two. This panel will be followed by a meet & greet in the Meet & Greet Zone. You can purchase tickets on the MCM Comic Con website!

The Magnus Protocol Mysteries Board Game

We are very pleased to be working with the incredible team at Indie Boards and Cards to create a brand-new boardgame: The Magnus Protocol Mysteries.

In The Magnus Protocol Mysteries, you will be put into the role of an O.I.A.R. employee, and will come with three unique cases for you to explore, solve, and catalogue. Each case you must assess will come in its own box, filled with all the evidence you will require to uncover the truth of its supernatural mystery. This evidence will include written documents, photographs, evidence files, and even audio recordings from Chester, Norris, and other O.I.A.R. employees.
