2025-02-26 17:24:48 +0000 UTC考慮一個情況，美國領土擴張主義復辟，美國借今次烏克蘭簽賣稀土協議，將烏克蘭變成美國領土，反攻歐洲，再買埋格陵蘭，咁樣咪符合嗰班一日鬧侵侵拋棄烏克蘭綏靖普京既講法，佢地話應該唔認輸戰至一兵一卒直至普京輸為止，當烏克蘭變成美國領土，美國咪戰至一兵一卒保護自己領土囉，連入北約都嫌多餘，直接美國出兵同普京打，啱晒佢地心意。

If the US is not offering Europe security and China comes in and play peacemaker, furthermore economically Europe and China need each other more than the US needs them, it does seem like a sustainable position. It probably comes down to who is least trustworthy in the eyes of the Europeans. China has kept its options open, on the other hand certain things Trump did will be hard to reverse, when it is an outright humiliation. Trump is sowing distrust inside and outside, one consequence is that it is fast uniting the world ex-US. If you are an alien looking at planet earth, strangely it would look like the US is the one proactively dismantling the old world order they created, and China seems to be more keen on maintaining multilateralism. Undoing the damage Trump still has to do in the next 47 months (at least?) is not an enviable position whoever is in charge next.

2025-02-25 18:19:12 +0000 UTC其實在二戰前，i.e.美國領導西方陣營之前，歐洲也沒有一個處於絕對領導地位的國家。因為歐洲的傳統外交講求均勢。 即使在19世紀，國力最強盛的日不落帝國，也只是歐洲協調機制之中的一員（因為光榮孤立等政策）。 但歐洲當時能主宰世界國勢，殖民全球，能夠只關注歐洲內的政治鬥爭。 在二戰後，世界局勢完全改變，西歐各國為了自身安全受美國領導，歐洲內部也沒有作為領䄂的空間。 即使法國的戴高樂總統希望在美蘇兩個陣營之外，尋求自己的路線，但仍不是法國甚至歐洲的主流。 因此我認為在美國逐漸重回孤立主義的時候，歐盟內部即使沒有領袖，也應該建立（比現存的）更有效政治機制以應對外部的威脅。
