Basically i wanted it to start off with something silly, like marigold inviting DLL to chill in the pool with her, but he's straight up naked, which throws her off despite her never wearing clothes herself

they have a little conversation together, the first time its actually relaxed, they talk about their old homes, though DLL doesnt go any further than "it was peaceful sometimes", marigold talks about her home life, how she was knocked around by her sisters a lot for being so weak. (nothing harmful, she just really wanted to be on their level but couldnt)

cale tries to give her comfort saying he's weak as well, and marigold scolds him for mocking her considering his big muscles. but cale states despite his strength, then brings up the incident during winter time, saying that he probably wouldnt have hurt marigold, just taken charlotte and run away

he pauses for a moment and realizes how cowardly it sounds, which a certain someone from his past constantly poked at him for. he almost breaks in front of marigold, but marigold leans on him, saying "We can be weak together"

cale doesnt say anything in response, but rests his head on hers. pan out, end comic
