As much as I love tears and intimate hugging, I don't think powers' barriers have broken down just enough for her to accept a loving embrace from a demon. So instead, I wanted the scene to feel more dialogue driven while you watch the gears in powers' head slowly turn, her struggling with her own feelings and trauma.
I think this is a lot better.
