用第三方軟件本身不是問題，不是每個機構都有自己研發通訊軟件，會用第三方的通訊軟件不是問題。 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna204925 如果根據上述報導，似乎是作為一個security advisor，選擇了一個通訊軟件而佢有安全事故，我認為他需要為此負責 。另外，按照報導佢有archive group chat而有被偷痕跡的話，也是一個嚴重的安全事故 補充一點，似乎按照報導他不是使用signal，似乎叫teleMessage signal 本身沒有紀錄，正常黑客要偷到通訊紀錄，應該要直接hack 用客端（手機，電腦）才能拿到。

2025-05-07 18:52:51 +0000 UTC在另一角度睇，如果佢哋用政府提供嘅communications app，就無法加沒有政府access嘅人。加錯人基本上無法發生。 但佢哋決定用signal。 原因一可能係為咗加不在政府嘅人，去傾classified國家機密。咁已經係故意洩漏。 原因二可能係佢哋唔相信政府IT，認為用政府app可能令其他政府人員得知基討論。但佢哋信任signal多於政府嘅app，咁就係完全冇安全意識。

2025-05-07 03:38:29 +0000 UTCIt is not one person, they have all been briefed what they can and cannot do, yet none of them object to not following the security protocols. Investment banks typically have their own secure apps for communicating sensitive information. The communication is logged, audited, and a compliance person will monitor the set up and conversations to make sure everything is within the firewall, boundaries of the law and code of conduct. These kind of fat finger errors will not happen. Generally I don’t think investment banks fire employees if they are making deals but not following security protocols. But they do fire them if they are not making deals and not following security protocols. Or they fire them if security protocol violations brought law suits to the firm. The question is why none of them say no, knowing this is a security violation? Perhaps they don’t want their conversations to be logged? Maybe some combination of wishful thinking and arrogance that they will not get caught, and if they get caught nothing will come out of it? The worst situation is maybe there is some herd mentality here, no one around me seems to be following security protocols these days, it must be ok for me too? In mathematics there is this thing called base rate fallacy: what’s the chance that a random employee get caught stealing petty cash from the company, that it is actually the first time he is doing it?
