Sad. I hope you feel better soon! Wow! That's super interesting that this was based on essentially childhood stories, at least in part. This is not only incredibly well-written and well-acted, but the music is some of the best. I love the soundtrack so much. I cannot remember the last time I was so invested in characters. I spend half the episodes hiding behind my hands. Lol.

The creator and writer of this series Steven Knight based the characters on tales told to him through the different generations of his family. His mother was a runner to the illegal bookmakers in the back streets of Birmingham just like little Finn. Uncle Charlie, Curly and Aunt Polly were all based on family members. The Peaky Blinders were a real gang back in the late 1890's. The gang leaders Billy Kimber, Darby Sabini and Alfie Solomans were all real gang leaders of the time working within Birmingham and London. The writer cleverly integrates real historical people and events within the story so it is so well written and keeps you engaged. Yes we have all fallen in love with Tommy Shelby, (and Cillian Murphy, slightly obsessed LOL) how can you not!!!!!!
