Ha. I had a friend of mine look it up for me because I didn't want to be spoiled. But she said the same thing. Ada is the same all the way through. I've just started season 3 (I watched the first two episodes), and I've either gotten used to her, or she sounds like S1 Ada again. I'm not really sure which. But it definitely threw me off the first few episodes of season 2 for whatever reason. It's opium! Thank you! I kept thinking it was heroin but thought maybe opium after a while. Now I can stop thinking about it. Lol. Yeah, I cannot imagine having to deal with PTSD in 1920. There really was no other choice but to self-medicate (which everyone seems to be doing). It's hard watching sometimes because I know so many of the issues are not their fault, but they still have to live with the aftereffects. It's sad.

Remember she is a very fashion conscious Shelby she will always have the latest hairstyles and makeup that she can afford, in fact all the actors are played by the same actors apart from Finn who grew up from 11 to a teen from season 1 to 2. The Shelbys are gypsies, so have a close affinity to spirits and second sight and use healing methods. Alfie and Sabini are very volatile crazy hot headed gangster leaders, such a contrast to Tommy who is quiet, calculating but keeps his exterior calm. The Shelby boys were all signed up for WW1 so all served and all the men came back with PTSD of some sort. They brought their weapons home with them and self medicate to help???? their conditions either with opium, alcohol or violence so sad that there was no help for these men back then, but they would never except they needed help anyway as it would show weakness. Tommy came back from war with a different attitude he thought he was going to die so now has been given a second chance and has decided to do whatever it takes to make life better for himself and no he is not afraid to die which makes him even more formidable to his opponents.
