I'm having a hard time remembering what happened in the books vs. what's happening in the series. You seem to have the timeline down much better than I do! I like Jeremiah. I was definitely on Team J when I was reading the books, but I think mostly because he was emotionally available for Belly. She longed for Conrad, but it was Jeremiah who wanted to let her in. And I agree, she 'chose' him by default. However, on the show, I think she and Conrad have much more romantic chemistry, whereas she and Jeremiah have what seems like a genuine friendship. It was hard to watch when she and Jeremiah weren't getting along because they've made their friendship seem so natural and easygoing in the TV series. I don't know how they are going to get her back with Jeremiah. Or Conrad, for that matter. Everything seems okay right now because they are all on the same said: save the house. And coming together to do that will provide some opportunities for her to engage with both brothers. I don't know how close they are sticking to the books, so I'm not sure what's going to happen.

In the show, Conrad goes to see her in October, probably close to Halloween since he brings candy, and they become official. They go to Cousins in December. Prom is probably early April, Susannah dies about a month later, and then the present day is a month after Susannah dies so late May/early June is my guess. In the book, Belly and Conrad just kiss when they're at Cousins but Jenny changed it for the show. I'm wondering how that affects season 3 cause that seemed to be a big part of the Belly/Jere story in book 3 that they hadn't had sex despite dating so long and how that made Belly feel that a random girl shared that with Jere when she hadn't yet. I'm not a big fan of Jere overall. He's fun-loving and charming but he's also kind of manipulative when he doesn't get his way and that bothers me more than other character flaws would. I don't like him with Belly though cause even in the books when they only get together for the first time at the end of book 2, Belly literally picks him because Conrad doesn't pick her. Jere kisses Belly, Conrad confronts him, Jere kind of bullies Conrad into giving up and that's when Belly decides to give Jeremiah a chance. That's not the way you want to start a relationship. He's so clearly second choice that it's hard to get on board with them as a couple. On the show, I'm actually getting major just-friends vibes from Belly. I assume that changes in ep 4 and the chemistry turns romantic cause right now it just seems like Belly is madly in love with Conrad and has moved on from her 3 day attraction to Jere last summer.
