Peaky Blinders 5X1: Black Tuesday

It's a new season, and things feel different. Not bad different, but definitely different.

I'm dying to find out what happens when Michael gets back. Tommy is right; no one listens to him and they should. He's always right!

And what is Finn doing? Doesn't he know he's not John? I know he wants to prove himself, but he could be dead!

Ther is a lot to unfold yet

Right?!? I loved that shot in the opening scene of Polly in Monte Carlo. But to be honest, I love every shot that Polly is in. That woman has such a commanding presence on screen. Having now seen 5X3 (it's supposed to go up today, but my editing software is being a pain in the ass), I'm fairly certain that Moseley will rival my hatred of Campbell. I didn't see how that could be possible, but here we are. Once I finish this series, my husband is gonna love me so much. He's a huge history buff and relishes getting to explain these kinds of things to me. I've been holding off because I don't want accidental spoilers, but there will be so much to learn! I'm fairly concerned about Tommy's mental state, to be honest. I've been worried for so long about Arthur, but now I think Tommy has surpassed him. The only saving grace (no pun intended) is that Tommy is able to generally control his temper (and mind), while Arthur does not seem to have the capability to do so. I cannot figure out the marriage of Tommy and Lizzie. He really seemed to like her before they got married. Now, I'm not sure if he wants anything to do with her. And I've made my feelings well known about Linda.

This is a whole new Tommy, you are right, he has to act differently because of his position. He has brought power and wealth to the family and they are all enjoying the finer things in life. Tommy has elevated his family to be above the killings and beatings. Tommy is now leader of the labour party which is a working man's party. He is still for the working people and his admission to building 3 new orphanages, shows that he wants to change the world. Oswald Moseley is a real historical figure and a leader in the political circles. If you look him up you will see his ideology was a concern for the British government. This plays a big role in the next 2 seasons building up to WW2. The biggest difference is that Tommy is showing that he is suffering still from mental struggles, seeing Grace who is telling him to listen to the voices and what they are telling you to do which, he is constantly telling him to join Grace, but he still has too much to do and can't say goodbye yet. Relationships between Arthur and Linda and Tommy and Lizzie play a big part. Yes The return of Michael to confront Tommy after losing the money will be interesting!!!!!!!
