I cannot imagine what these people are gonna get up to over 130 episodes!

That makes sense if it was already a series. I did know it was done in the UK first, but I didn't really think about it. I just googled and saw the UK version is on Amazon. It has 11 seasons in the UK?!? This must be a great show!

2023-11-03 20:14:38 +0000 UTCJust to let you know Shameless was done in the UK first and was a hit. The story line is exactly the same for episode 1 as it was for episode 1 in the UK. So the Script has already been written for the most part, just slightly adapted i imagine to fit a American audience and culture. Maybe it goes its own way after a while but i wouldn't know as never watched the US version.

I guess that's what ten years of practice will do. Still super sad, though. Yuck. That dude is 40?!? I thought it was bad when I thought he was like 25. This is so much worse.

Now that I've completed that series, I think I can say that it is the best show I've ever watched. I'm beyond excited to keep watching this show now! I cannot believe how they gave me such a good grasp on the characters after only ONE episode. You're right; that's what good writing can do! Also, no need to apologize for mistakes. English is my first language and I make plenty. Lol.

2023-11-03 05:05:40 +0000 UTCThey live in Chicago on the South side in a very rough neighbourhood so i just had to bear that in mind everytime i found myself judging the characters a little to hard for how they acted, because like- they grew up in rough/unstable envoirment so i just had to expect that thatβs how they are gonna behave sometimes π π Fiona is 23, but she has taken care of the whole family since she was only 13 years old :( So i feel like if sheβs rebelling a little bit once in a while itβs honestly no suprise since she lost out on so much of her teenage years because she had to grow up so fast to be a "mother" figure to everyone. And yes, the supermarket owner Ian is involved with is 40 years old while Ian is a 15 year old child :( π€’

2023-11-02 22:23:16 +0000 UTCHere we go!! π₯³ This series is both hillarious and sad iβve honestly never come across a show that manages to balance humor and drama as good as this does, and really, really solid character writing π€πΌ And yeah trust me when i say you have NO idea what you have in store with these characters in the 130 episodes, itβs MENTAL π I watched along with your Peaky Blinders reactions and was so sad that i didnβt have more episodes left to watch again with you, but this most definitely is gonna fill that void since Shameless is my second favourite show of all time, Peaky Blinders takes that first spot tho lmao! (Btw sorry for any grammar mistakes, English is not my first language π )
