Happy Holidays: It's a Wonderful Life

Thanks for the suggestion, Emily!

This was nothing like what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be an old, cheesy movie. Turns it, it's super relevant and dark. I enjoy this so much!

aww you're welcome! i am so happy to hear you enjoyed it idk how much you know of the background but jimmy stewart (the lead) was a vet who returned with a bunch of depression and ptsd. i don't know what position or rank he was but he was kind of in charge of a bunch of men and would take the more intense, traumatic missions so they wouldn't have to. when he came back, things were very bad for him. that scene where he lashes out at his family, he said he dug into his own ptsd and trauma to pull that out of him. he credits this film for saving him and pulling him back from the brink. i think it's such a special film. i have a favorite movie, little miss sunshine, and while they're completely different they both accomplish the same things for me. i can watch them after a bad day and it just sort of resets my mindset. its a wonderful life is definitely very beloved! i am so happy you enjoyed it!
