One Tree Hill 2X12: Between Order and Randomness
Added 2024-02-07 19:00:07 +0000 UTCHow is it possible that Nathan is the mature one in this relationship right now? I cannot believe that this show made me like him more than Haley right now. That said, it's some writing that can accomplish that over the course of less than a season.
Also, how is it possible that Brooke is becoming my favorite character? She deserves so much better than Felix.
I'm so anxious about what's going on with Keith and Jules. There's no way this ends well whether they love each other or not, right?
And it's only season 2, so Lucas is gonna fine, but I don't need any more health drama from him. Lol.

I mean, to be fair, 1-5 were peak SPN. If I remember correctly (and I very well might not) 6-8 weren't great, and then it picked up again for a bit. But by 11, I was like, this really needs to be done now. Lol.

2024-03-26 05:15:01 +0000 UTCI 100% did not recognize her. But when I googled it, I was like, of course! Lol. I watched the first 11 (I think) seasons. Then I finally quit. I did also watch the finale, which I don't remember enjoying. But I could totally be remembering that wrong. Ha.

2024-03-25 17:14:36 +0000 UTCI agree that she's looking at Chris like he's getting to live the life she wants and feels like she can't have now that she's married. But I don't think it's as dire as she thinks it is. That said, she's 16, and everything feels like life or death at that age, which is a pretty good reason not to get married at 16. Lol. I also find it odd that Chris is the person who 'gets through to Haley, ' so to speak. I would have thought that it would be more impactful coming from someone else in the group. But I guess as they are all friends with Nathan, it wouldn't be the same. Maybe I'm just mad because I don't like Chris? You know, I never really thought about Nathan being a dependent person. But now that you mention it, it's impossible to unsee it. That's probably going to change the way I look at things going forward. Thanks for that perspective! Also, I really wanna say how excellent your comments are without being spoilery. You really point out things I may have missed, but really stick to only episodes I've seen. I really appreciate that. Thank you!

2024-02-09 14:10:31 +0000 UTCI think she's just struggling with her totally rash and unlike her decision to get married, which is having a snowball effect on her other decisions. You mentioned a couple of epis ago, after Chris questioned whether she made a mistake that you didn't think she thought that. I think she's been questioning it since 2x1 when both Deb and Karen mentioned it as well. She was not crying over cds when she took off her ring. While Chris is not Karen or Deb to Haley, she does look up to him. He's following his dreams. The same ones she has, so him mentioning her "mistake" could make her question it even more. At the root, they really are different people with different outlooks and different personalities. Nathan is very dependent and Haley is very independent. Nathan wants to sacrifice his dreams for Haley (which she didn't ask him to do) and Haley wants to pursue her dreams without Nathan. I think she's essentially the same character, but her decisions of late in regards to Nathan and her marriage are not like her.

2024-02-08 17:12:52 +0000 UTCAgreed. I'm glad they didn't go the total Mary Sue route with Haley. While that definitely helped me want good things for her character, I'm sure by this point, I'd be rolling my eyes at her virtue. Lol. I'm shocked that the writing is so good and the parts are so well acted that I totally believe Nathan and Haley essentially swapping characters.

2024-02-08 14:14:25 +0000 UTCThank you! I totally get that. And I do remind myself a lot that they are so young. I'm mostly just shocked that somehow Nathan is coming out the good guy here! If you would have told me that 20 episodes ago, I would have laughed in your face. But again, part of why this show is so good. That's awesome! And people complain that we don't need more representation on TV. (Insert eye roll emoji here).

2024-02-08 14:11:42 +0000 UTCImo, Haley's character needed this. She was too perfect in season 1. (That would get pretty boring really quickly.) Her main role was to bring Lucas and Nathan together and to "fix" Nathan. This season gave her layers, which for me is important for character development, and what this show does really well.

2024-02-08 04:04:52 +0000 UTCHahah your reaction are great!! Ok so with Haley I get how youβre feeling, but then when you sit back and remind yourself βthey are only 16yoβ itβs like ok, I get it.. Imagine.. I was in middle school when this aired and I had to wait till next week to see what happens next lmao! And no matter how many times your rewatch the series, you will always catch something different AND as you grow as a person and rewatch, you view everything differently each time with different feelings and views! Iβm so happy you are enjoying OTH! Side note: The show and the whole Anna plot, actually help me a lot with coming out when I was 14 and just being myself!
